We had a member many years, NewbieChris, I believe that had questionable bloodwork followed by hypertension when he started his very first cycle. His BP went higher and had constant nosebleeds. He would constantly post about his cycle exacerbating the nosebleeds and eventually quit. Don't know what happened to him.

If it's issue of stress, find out how to control it.
Hey bro no offense but I find you are giving advice on things you know nothing about and it is irritating me. The OP is an experienced guy and a lot older then newbiechris. He doesn't need to be told 'a strong cardiovascular system will help you in the long run'. Sorry, not trying to be negative.

For me anytime I am on, my cholesterol and bp goes up. It varies from cycle to cycle by how much. If I was lmg I would be going on a betablocker and a statin for a short while before the cycle, get checked again and then run the cycle with the meds throughout. After the cycle I would ditch the meds and try to maintain levels though diet. I think if you have had high readings already it will be challenging to control it naturally if you are running gear.

For me, Winny fucked up my joints/tendons (not sure which, but it fuckin hurt) so I would never run that shit again.

My advice is to get your health in order first. Find what the culprit is in your diet or way of living before you start a cycle. This experience fucking up talking to you right now lol.

Eat more healthy fats and reduce the bad fats. See below for some natural stuff you can incorporate with blood pressure and cholesterol.

    Apple cider vinegar

This vinegar regulates the levels of bad cholesterol, fats and sugar in the blood, lowers high blood pressure, cleanses the whole organism from toxins and harmful compounds, protects the heart and blood vessels, improves circulation, speeds metabolism and improves immunity.
    Beans

You can lower cholesterol for 10% by consuming only 1/2 cup of boiled beans a daily.

    Mistletoe

This plant improves circulation, destroys the deposits in blood vessels and improves their elasticity. But its widest use is for decreasing blood pressure.

    Avocado

This plant helps the vessels to dilate and reduce cholesterol. The avocado contains monounsaturated oleic acid which has antioxidant properties, thus preventing the formation of bad cholesterol that results in destroying arteries. Tip - Save the core of the alvacado. It has the most nutrients. Let it dry out and then shave it down into powder to mix in shakes.

    Green tea

A great number of studies have shown that this tea can decrease the levels of triglyceride and cholesterol and that is why it prevents atherosclerosis.

    Grapefruit

The peel of grapefruit is consisted of pectin that decreases cholesterol and protects blood vessels from atherosclerosis. We recommend you to eat the whole grapefruit because its juice does not have this property.

    Ginger

This root is mostly used as a spice, but you can use it to prepare tea, also. Ginger helps the blood vessels to dilate thus supplying the arms and legs with blood. This delicious spice also decreases the levels of triglycerides and cholesterol.

    Garlic

It is recommended to use this vegetable while it is fresh, but you can use it as a supplement as well. As we all know, the effects of garlic on decreasing high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure are proven.

    Olive oil

This type of oil protects arteries of fatty deposits. It lowers bad cholesterol, but increases the good cholesterol.

    Lemon Water

Take a whole lemon an juice it in a cup. Warm up some water and mix. I like to also use the zest, which has a lot of vitamins. Drink this first thing in the morning before eating anything. Wait about 45 minutes to eat as this reduces stomach acid. Works great for several things including blood pressure and cholesterol. Has tons of vitamin C.

What's your quarrel with Winny? And yes, I'm doing cardio.

More than likely this cycle won't start until april/may. The plan is to get blood work right and bf% down and then start. Yes, I know winny will lower LDL so I intend to monitor Lipid Profiles for the duration of the cycle. Unless I compete again I don't plan on running many more cycles. My ultimate goal was always to be around 210 lbs. & no higher than 10-12% year round. Now if I get the itch to compete again, things will change, but currently this is my goal over the next 2 years.

I quit drinking, I've been back in the gym at it pretty hard and my diet is solid. I've had a resting heart rate around 107 since I was a kid. High BP and High Cholesterol run in the family as well. The propanolol has been an amazing help for my heart rate and my BP has never been this consistently good. As far as for cholesterol, yesterday I started taking Omega 3 Fish Oil (1360mg once in the morning daily) and Policosanol (20mg a.m./20mg p.m. daily). I'll get my lipid profiles checked again at the end of March.

I will hold off on the cycle and check my lipid profiles again in a month and then go from there.

With your current lipid panel and family history, I would hold off on cycling and devote the next 2-3 months to improving my lipid profile.

So I've been reading and I'm looking to find the latest and greatest literature, info, personal experiences etc...

Some say wait until your levels are in check before you start your cycle (mature answer and clearly makes sense)

Others say to go ahead with cycle while taking OTC Meds (more specifically Policosanol @ 20mg-40daily) or take your lipitor as prescribed by your doctor and just keep checking your levels frequently.

So, what's your opinions on the above scenarios?

I've been reading up on this Policosanol and some people live by it and say it is amazing while on the other hand I read a thread posted in 2006 by Bouncer disputing this OTC as basically useless....

This is the cycle I had in mind when I felt the time was right.

    Weeks 1-12 600-750mg PW Test E/Test C Blend
    Weeks 1-12 600-750mg PW EQ
    Weeks 8-12 50mg Winny ED (25mg AM/25MG PM)
    PCT to follow after

BUT..... Here were my most recent levels: Prepare yourselves.....

    Triglycerides: 187 mg/dL
    Total Cholesterol: 286 mg/dL
    LDL: 213 mg/dL
    HDL: 35 mg/dL

As you can see, Total CHOL and LDL are a bit off (I say that with sarcasm, yes, I know it's not a laughing matter either.)

On a side note, I've been eating pretty clean and I'm back in the gym with weights and cardio (Only 6 weeks now). For the typical person I would say just give it more time, but High BP and High Cholesterol run in the family.

So guys, what are your thoughts?

I'm going to go with Policosanol @ 20mg-40 daily for a month and get them checked again before I start anything. I'll add fish oil whenever I do start.

And Mr.I, that's the thing, my HDL is just below normal, but my LDL being so high fucks that ratio all up.

And Bouncer, Winny is staying as long as I can keep Cholesterol levels in check.

This may look like a bulking cycle, but I plan on eating very clean and continuing with cardio 40-60 mins on treadmill walking at 3.7 on incline 4.0.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a cutting cycle, but with the way I will manipulate the diet, it will be.

I'm not a fan of the ED/EOD Test Prop shots and Tren has always given me pretty rough sides even though it is my favorite, hence the reason I'm staying away from it this go round.

I'll try to keep updates on my blood tests and results with Policosanol @ 20mg-40 daily.

Listen: any oral aas will suppress hdl also "some" injectable will, including windy

Chances are if you used inj enanth with primo there would be no suppression.

    Yes take fish oil too.

It's the ration of hdl to ldl that's most important

    OR

Supplement with OTCs or prescribed meds and run with it. Ultimately, yes, I know, it is my decision and my body. But honestly, what would be your suggestions?

I'm leaning towards taking the OTC (Policosanol 30mg-40mg per day) for a month, getting my lipid profiles checked again and going from there.

i like the cycle, minus the eq...a tad bit much IMO but I'm sure you know works best for you. I'd be first worried to drop the BF to low teens before I'd start.

Also, if it runs in the fam like it does with mine, well that doesn't help either. You're just gonna have to work at it a bit more than the other person. I feel like you're living what I went through with those almost exact numbers when I lived in Miami.

I never got to finish that one because instead of my dumbass finishing it and being my best on stage I tried to make the high end of the lower weight class.... Will never make that mistake again if I compete.
I've seen your pics in the past and your contes diet, training, etc...so not like you don't know wtf you're doing....id be willing to be its your eating habits, drinking, stress, etc...many other issues can also raise your levels. You know I've had mine done for the past ten plus years and I'm on point when it comes to blood work. I've had my issues as well with Hdl, ldl, and ast, alt as well.

I always thought I was eating clean, doing enough cardio, ex..I was lost to why my numbers were always off. When I finally did change my eating habits, everything changed in my favor.
