ok; just woke up this morning and the pain is gone, swelling is down, and the redness is very faint if not gone. looks like nothing to worry about. thanks for everyone's help... haven't had this happen in about a year and a half. i have amoxicillin 500mg pills on hand for this type of thing just in case. what is Bid?

and there were no signs of fever.. if there were, i probably would've started the antibiotics immediately. i was checking for that :)

Bid is the Rx abbrevaition for twice a day. qd every day, tid three times a day, Qid four times a day

Glad it was nothing. Most likely just some severe inflammation
