From posts and info from books I have read I found some of the following were recommended for bodybuilders.

    - 2000-3000mg/day of Vit C helps a bit with releasing water retention as well as immune system
    - A real good multi vitamine
    - Flax Seed Oil up to 5000mg/day
    - Cranberry Extract and/or juice helps with kidneys especially while on the juice
    - Ginger Root 1000mg before main meals
    - Saw Palmetto
    - L-Glutamine 5000+ mg/day
    - And of course minimum of 1.5g Protein/lb of Body Weight

I am sure you'll get many more suggestions here as well. Most of this was taken from reading many posts and also from a book called Newbies Research Guide - a complilation of Anabolics and Nutritional Supplements (good book I have as pdf I can email you if u want )

R-ALA is an excellent anti-oxidant and is liver protective as well. It also helps with carbohydrate metabolism. It helps shuttle carbs into cells to use for energy (kind of like insulin).

I think 100mg is the recomended dosage for each high carb meal. When taking R-ALA, one must also take biotin to avoid developing sore joints. R-ALA inhibits the enzyme responsible for making biotin so exogenous biotin is required.

Taurine at 4 to 8g a day is good if you are prone to muscle tightness or cramps (like when on fina). That totally alleviated cramps for me.
