  • Bad acne....Plesae help.

I started using AAS in Dec. of '02. I stayed on for a year, running Test as my foundation and stacking other compounds in from time to time.

After a few months I really began to break out. First it was just on my arms, and was managable. Then things got worse fast.

I began developining cysts under my skin, on my chest and back. They would sometimes come to a head and sometimes not, but were painful and unsightly.

Me being so anal about it, went to my Dr. and got on Accutane.

It got worse. On Accutane my skin was a mess. I had cystic acne all over.

Long story short. I went off the Accutane for a few reasons. It was making things worse, and my liver values were almost toxic.

I shortly then came off AAS too. My skin got better, but I did some damage. My back is covered w/ scars.

I am back on AAS now, after some time off. I am in my seccond week of a 20 week cycle, and need some help.

Nobody breaks out the way I do at my gym, and most of the fellas use AAS as well

Whats up? Am I doing something wrong?

It is starting up again on my shoulders, and I am nervous

I never see as much as a mark on the Pros's in the mags, so why me?

I have tried tanning and every otc acne product there is.

I mean I have been working my ass off in the gym, and I wanna be able to take my shirt off.

My gains have been steady and I am happy with that, but I just can't take this skin shit any longer.

How do you all manage your skin when using AAS.

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Some people just simply cant use testosterone at any dose because of these reasons.

If you were on cycle and using the accutane, thats bad news in itself, accutane is going to make things much worse before they are going to get better.

I would stop using for a while, its not gonna get better while on, only worse.

Go back to the accutane, and use lots of Vitamin E on the scars, it might help ease them some. Or you gonna have to go on higher doses of tetracycline, or minocycline, acne is just a bacterial infection. Using benzoyl peroxide washes can help as well too

Again, your gonna have to change how, and what you use, the price of vanity is a steep one, and I dont think you wanna pay anymore than you already have

        currently working for me:

        160mg Accutane/day
2000mg Milk Thistle/day (for the liver)

lots of non-comedigenic (won't clog pores) lotion. took my doc about 4 months to get me to this dose. now she says that i should've started at my current dose because of my size... so basically, i wasted 4 months trial and error dosing. it's finally working i'm happy to say. even my girlfriend is noticing the incredible effects of this stuff. i was one of those poster-children for Accutane in high-school. worked for me back then, and working for me now. it did get worse before it got better, but i stuck with it and am glad i did. the Milk Thistle will help your liver values. i'm currently testing to see the differences of taking it vs. not taking it. also, drink lots of water and shower a lot too; at least twice per day. i've heard mega-dosing of B5 works for a lot of people too, but didn't do jack for me. best of luck.

Wow GT, 160mg of Accutane ed is a monster dose. I started out at 40 and went up to 80.

I'll try the milk thistle too.

I'm gonna be OK, it just kinda sucks.

              Thanx Bro.

I break out real bad on gear. Things that have helped me are Kyolic and straight rubbing alcohol. The Kyolic may sound generic to you, but I have noticed a huge difference in how it has cleaned up my skin since staying on it. Give it a try, it couldnt hurt you. PEACE! KIR

yea, i started at 40/day also; then added another 40/day each month after. the doc now says that she sould've doubled my dose each month rather than the slow increases. at least now we know for next time (if there is a next time). i really didn't notice anything til about 120mg... then at 160mg... very few minor breakouts that are new and everything else is healing up really well. my liver values only went up a few points between the 120-160mg of accutane mark, and now i hope they'll drop after this month of Milk Thistle. it's the only addition to my diet, so i'm looking forward to my blood results.

Dude 40 is NOTHING for accutane unless you have very mild acne. .1mg for every kg bodyweight as a recommended max for most people.

I've been up to 100mg @ 230 pounds and it works awesome, I also use OTC topical crap from Walgreens and shower 1-2x daily. I am down to 80 and soon 60, it works like a mother f'er, sorry to hear about your liver values though.
