It is exactly the same Civil rights are civil rights. When you separate groups of people into different categories and then say its ok for this group and not ok for this group then you are denying people basic civil rights. This country has all kinds of rights including the freedom of religion and the freedom from religion. When the constitution was written a lot of care was put into it to word it in such a way that the word God is never mentioned to protect people from religious persecution. In god we trust was added years later as well as to the pledge which by the way is unconstitutional. This is a legal issue not a religious issue. There are many religions in this country that don’t believe in god and these are the freedoms this country are based on. There has to be a separation of church and state and the freedom from religion. That is the reason the Pilgrims came hear in the 1st place, to escape religious persecution. Your trying to say that this country is based on exactly the reason the farthers left Europe for. You should perhaps brush up on your American history

why then is it ok for the gays to open up a school FOR GAY PEOPLE ONLY? thats hypocritical because if a school was opened up for straight people only there would be an uproar in the gay community.

Timber maybe you should brush up on reality, black people are born black, gay people are born people, you make choices you don't chose to become a race you chose to live a lifestyle.

What if a person found little children attractive? Would chosing not to act upon "instinct" make him stupid since there are laws against it. Well to me I don't believe homosexuality is correct, so if I was gay I would chose to not act upon my emotions. And like my original statement I was making the difference between being born as black and being born as gay, one you are and one you are not.

Im the same way. 2 chicks is nasty but 2 guys, oddly, is kind of erotic.

On the note of gods law though I would find it interesting to know how many of you that are against homosexuality based on "gods law" also use AAS? And would you not consider this to be highly hypocritical?

                      fyi,

On this thread we have 53 replies at this point, and lot's of interesting discussion.

One thing that is clear, is there are probably, at least a half dozen of us who support same sex marriages, me included.

Which should give you a hint of what is about too come.
Probably not next year, or maybe even five, it is coming though.

Remember at one time folks were persecuted, jailed, discriminated because they were different, and lo and behold we found out, oh my gosh, they are not different, they are our sons are daughters, our neighbors, are relatives, and upon these folks I always wish the best.

And yes folks do go to extremes in all walks of life, not my thing, it's just the way the world is.

1st of all I don’t believe they're is any such thing as God and there never has been so this foolishness of gods Law is utterly ridicules to me. 2nd Christianity and the Catholics in particular are the most Evil organization the world has ever known. I personally reject anything Christianity stands for because of there crimes against humanity and the genocide they are responsible for.

People are born the way they are, They don’t chose it, They may chose to deny it but sexual preference is simply the way people are born. Have you any Idea how many children and teenagers commit suicide over the fact that they are gay. If it were a choice do you think they would kill themselves over it.

Aurora I said I was Bisexual, I just happened to fall in love with my wife and married her. that was over 20 years ago. Just because I am married doesn’t mean I find men or woman any less attractive. It just means I’m married and in love with my wife. If you were to marry do you think you would no longer find other men attractive?
