I'm very glad being a big fish in a small pond. Damn near everyone knows who I am in my city, knows who my friends are, and thus I haven't had to deal with shit like this in MANY years. Only problems I've had recently are out of my hometown. I can't imagine how much potential trouble there'd be if I was in Doom's situation; surrounded by millions of people who don't know who I am nor do they give a fuck...looking at a big guy and thinking about what a great story it'd be to tell their buddies that they beat down someone that size (while leaving out the pesky little details like how it took 3 or 4 of them, or how a weapon was involved). Sometimes being big is a deterrent...but sometimes it puts a target on your back.
