Those who dont tip, or tip extremely poorly, is either beciase they have everything handed to them, or sometimes they genuinely cant afford it, and its usually not the latter, cause those who dont have cash, dont go out to eat

Its like I said, i dont have a very good job, cause i go to college and work. I work part time cause of my school, losts of work and i wanna graduate fast, but at times i have huge cravings for good restaurants. Im barley 22 years old and my first time i went to Chili's or even Applebee's was when I was 20. I never been to them until I met my girl, she introduced me to them. Before I would tip out big time. 5 dollar, 10 dollars at times, but because i had shitloads of money to throw. But now, I have my shitty job and its hard at times with all the bills, gas (fucking high gas 1.75 a gallon). But I give out what I can most of the time I usually out of my pocket give 3-4 bucks and my girl puts in 2-3 more bucks, maing it over 5 bucks most of the time. If teh service sucks, and the food took a long time, or the girl/guy was rude, i give them little.:D But im good hearted:)

If the service is shit, then the tip should be shit. If the food is shit, you blame the cook. I remember yrs ago when I was delivering pizza, while working through school, the bill was 16.80 or something like that, the guy handed me a $20, I took at started walking away, he goes "whoaaaaa, did you think I was gonna give you that much of a tip?" I said Im sorry sir, I didnt think $3 bucks was considered being generous, he asked me if I was a wise ass, I said no, ur just a cheap fuck, have a great night. And not for nothing people who do drive to deliver food should get as descent asa tip as the waiter brining it to their table, gas prices are sky high, and some places have delivery radiouses, that are like 10 miles

I delivered pizzas one summer when I was in school....always remembered the cheap fucks...and made sure to deliver their food as slowly as possible (or last on a particular run irregardless of their location on the route) when they ordered again.

Here is the deal for those who do not know. In Texas servers get paid $2.13 and hour - not shit. Since 15% of the check is common practice they must report 15% of all checks as their tips- even if they do not get 15%. So when you tip poorly the server gets fucked.
Part of eating out in a full service restaurant is understanding that the tips is part of the experience. You need to remember when ordering your food that 15% needs to be left for the server unless they give you poor service, rude, screw up the order, ect.
Ploease also remember that servers have to share their tips- such as tips out the bartender, lead cook as these guys will screw them if they do not.
IF you ahve a hard time caculating the tip amount go buy yourself on of those tip cards that breaks it down for you...

I just love how some people say that they love this country and everything it stands for and support it 100% when it comes to things like our freedom and fighting wars as opposed to how other countries think and their customs. But are hypocrits when it comes to other things like this tipping thing, which is very much a common and expected custom in this country. Its like they say, most people like to say they support shit if it doesn't directly effect them or their pocketbooks. If you don't want to tip, don't go out to eat or move to Europe. It's as simple as that.
