    25% or a 1/4 of the population has their car stolen...thats shitty!

    I have a friend that lives up there and she has always told me about the city there, but still. I guess thats why everyone lives in the burbs up there.

      Its a good thing I live in the suburbs where they don't even mention crime rates, here's Philly the big city I live near:

      Crime in Philadelphia (2001):
      309 murders (20.4 per 100,000)
      1,014 rapes (66.8 per 100,000)
      9,604 robberies (632.9 per 100,000)
      10,477 assaults (690.4 per 100,000)
      11,629 burglaries (766.3 per 100,000)
      45,318 larceny counts (2986.3 per 100,000)
      15,527 auto thefts (1023.2 per 100,000)
      City-data.com crime index = 630.0 (higher means more crime, US average = 330.6)
