Bullshit the gov't CAN control their sexual activity!

Lock them up and put them to work in all female facilities. Make them pay for the kids they bring into the world by becoming productive citizens and put the kids up for adoption after a little time is spent on them in a controled facility that introduces them to the right way to live. If the kids aren't wanted by a responsible family, there could be facilities to raise them, just like an old fashioned orfanage home. The women can live out the rest of their lives in a facility until they are no longer able to reproduce but if they've proven they can be productive, release them.

Men can be DNA tested for paternity and they can be locked up just like the women for a period of time and then released if they're willing to get a vassectomy if they've proven to be productive.

Anyone who is released but gets into trouble goes back to a work camp for the rest of their lives.

This doesn't just apply to blacks, but to any one abusing the system.

        • There is a genetic difference between whites and blacks. This is why blacks rule at sports for a simplistic example. Like any other given there are exceptions to the rule. Most genetics do not change in a few hundred years.

If I put my lily white ass in the enviorment blacks genetics are predisposed to my childrens children would still be having offspring that were poorly equiped to deal with the world at hand in comparison. White America prizes the thought process. Black America is predisposed the physical process. For the most part middle class Americans and above are in the thought process fields. These are the areas rewarded. Physical labor excluding sports are not for the most part.

There is a piece in all of us that is a competitor. When you "bench" someone for awhile they start to act out. Depression sets in. Bad examples are set. Someone with the best coat of armor to get the job done in the given enviorment gets the job and the spoils. The occasional break through that ends up in white type America may not know how to act. If you think he had a successful "white" mentor whom he may be trying to emulate you are wrong.

None of this is an excuse. All of it is a reality. There are always exceptions.

Your tired of seeing the jewelry? Who set the example of shiny things as a symbol of success. Excuse me for pointing this out but this board is full of people who have a desire to be noticed and spend money they shouldnt be to get there. Read between the lines.

I was raised in a proud racist middle class red neck family. Ignorant and scared. They are to this day. All males except my brother carry guns in their trucks in case of a threat from a minority. Blacks are the most feared. This is in northern Calif.

Don't know why I wrote that other than a point of reference as to where I am today.

I am glad I don't have the challenges many minoritys and whites do.

What I sense here is a frustration. How can things be changed even a bit. One life at a time. Those of us who are capable need to find a way to help turn this thing around. Time to quit bitching and help. If you can find your way to the gym you can find your way to help a kid.

            • Well to my surprise I have not logged on for a couple of days and when I do, I see that this thread is rolling along. I must admit that the comments that have been written have made me feel differently about the persons of whom I share this forum with. Am I the ONLY black/African American person that is a member here or am I the only one that is willing to speak up?

To read the stereotypes and negative comments that have been made regarding my race of people has been eye opening for me. Every race has members that fall short of what society sets as standards. It is not about one ethnic race; it is about the human race! Some of the things that black people have been accused of doing have and are still being done by other races especially whites/Caucasians!

I am embarrassed that the cops were called to the black family's apartment. I am embarrassed because it causes opinions, conversations, and stereotypes just like the ones that have been stated in this thread to appear validated. To cause all black/African American people to be lumped up into false and unfair theories. For the comment that there is a difference between "blacks" and "African-Americans", is there a difference between whites and Caucasians with one being better than the other?

All I can say is that as a black woman who is a positive member of society along with countless numbers of friends and family members that I know, this thread has been a wake up call for me. It has allowed me to see fellow forum members in a new light. It has shown me how you really view ME! I was excited being a member of this site, being able to learn and share information with people I felt who had similar interest as mines. But when it really comes down to it, the one thing that should bind us together, being human, is still not enough in the end.

              You guys take care!!!

                Nice post, comsquat.

I feel like there are some genetic differences between nationalities, weather it's blacks and whites, or any other ethnic background, jews and gentiles, etc. we are who we are based on many years of herritage. However, here in America we're all supposed to blend together making one nationality. Nothing wrong with being different, let's just all aim for a better life, to become one strong kick ass country, and that includes educating the minorities and bringing their standards up to par. It would take a lot of time and money for that to happen, but time is gonna pass, and monies are going to be spent regardless, it would be nice to see it all be put to use to making this country one, to making it strong, just like our original New World ancestors once imagined it to be.

Please don't leave. I think many generalizations have been made but based on experience by the people in this forum. Discussion with you would be appreciated, don't just run off and hide.

Here on the internet we don't see race for the most part. We learn to like or dislike a person based on their values, their oppinions, etc. Instead of you leaving, why don't you try to have a civilized conversation with everyone else?

You can't be a Dr. or a lawyer and not attend college. That's why there are so few who CAN end up with a better life. That's why there is more problems with voilence, drugs and guns.
This is the most ridiclous statement I've ever heard. Blacks and most minorities have what's known as "Affirmative Action", if they want to get into college, the admittance officials will bend over backwards to get them in, and all but pay their tuition, or help out with very low interest loans. To the point that BETTER QUALIFIED "WHITE PEOPLE" can't get in. REVERSE DISCRIMINATION IS ALIVE AND WELL. So, don't say they don't have the chances white people do, the only thing that keeps them out is that they don't care to go and do the tough work it takes to get a degree. John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson with his "Great Society" and all the Civil Rights legislations these assholes were responsible for did more to cripple blacks than any other white man/men ever did. Their creation of greater welfare payments and more who qualified, has made those on welfare, generation after generation, completely crippled to get off. Why in the hell would they take a $6.00/hr. job flipping burgers, and have to worry about babysitters, etc., when they can make more by sitting on their asses and having more babies because the more dependants they have, the more money they get. All this government has to do is to require people on welfare to do SOMETHING for the money. Make them HAVE to go to a public office and pick up their check, provide child care while they are there, and let them clean windows, sweep floors, pick up trash, teach them how to file, or other basic office skills, etc. etc., and if they chose not to, cut them the hell off, or reduce their benefits. One more thing and I'll shut up. I am not a racist, but most black people ARE towards whites. If I were to walk alone through a black section of town, I'd be lucky to get out alive. But, if a black guy walked through a white section of town, 99% of the time, nobody would say anything to him. Yes, discrimination does exist, but not the way most people think. Some blacks see the truth about their plight, but they are largely ignored, so nothing will ever get better. And all us "Whities" better take heed, in another 20 years, we'll NOT be the MAJORITY group. Hispanics will be majority, then white, then blacks and orientals running a close 3rd. Just wait. IMO---BB

Don't try so hard to be offended. When I meet someone, I don't judge them on the color of their skin. I judge them by how they act, dress, and talk. If they talk like an educated person and act like a decent human being, they could be purple for all I care. I don't think all blacks fall into a certain catagory or pattern just like I don't think all whites or asians do. There is a thing call culture however and different ethnic groups do have ethnic cultures that affect how they are brought up and subsequently, how they act as adults. Living in the south (currently), I see a subculture of white people that I find equally distasteful as anything else. They are poor white trash. The reason they are poor is because they have no drive to better themselves. They are welfare lushes who are content to live that way. They will steal anything not nailed down or mug you for the $20 you have in your pocket. These people tend to drop out of highschool and just become total losers. Sound like any other generalizations you have heard in this thread?

I have had (and still have) friends from just about every nationality and ethnicity there is and there are good, decent people within every one. There are also some lying, cheating, losers in most of them. The white and black races are no different in that respect.

That being said, look up statistics from the bureau of crime statistics. Ask yourself why 85% of the violent crime in america is committed by minorities making up less than 30% of the population. Given these statistics, don't you think people have a legitamite reason to fear or distrust miorities? So, what is the reason for this discrepancy? I think we can agree it isn't genetic or a question of intelligence. The only thing left is CULTURE. I have lived in 5 different states from the east coast to the midwest to the far west from north to south. In EVERY place I have lived, there were black kids I befriended who treated their parents with respect and whose parents worked hard to support their families. There were many more that didn't fit into that catagory though. These others were raised to believe everyone else owed them something. Their parents were lazy good-for-nothings who lived off food stamps. These kids fit the negative black stereotypes in every way. I would guess the ratio of non-stereotypical black kids to stereotypical black kids in my experience is probably 1 to 5. Now, given that some 80% of the black kids in my past experience fit the negative stereotypes, how can you convince me that it isn't a pervasive culture in the black community. Why does that observation make me racist?

To be racist is to have a preconceived idea about how a stranger will be or act based soley on his or her race. I am not like that. My first impressions are formed by the way that person acts, dresses and talks. The color of their skin has virtually nothing to do with it. If someone approaches me in a parking lot with his pants sagging around his ass, his hands in his pockets, head down, cap on backwards and speaks to me in street slang (Yo dawg, yo car's tha shizznit), my defenses go up. Now it wouldn't matter if he was black or white but, as it happens, 80% of the time, he would be black. Tell me I'm wrong!

I'm sorry if this has offended you. I do take a little umbrage though at someone impying that I am racist. I have tried very hard throughout my life to NOT let negative experiences and observations affect the way I see a total stranger. I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt until I get to know them better.

As I said before, I am a scientist. I feel my observations on people who fit or do not fit a negative stereotype is a purely objective one. I don't think observations in which I had no influence make me racist as long as I don't let those observations affect how I see a total stranger.

                          • Phyt-Dyme you need a reality check. This board is made up of the same thoughts and opinions of the people you interact with every day.

"Being Human" will never be enough to take care of us. Certainly turning tail and running away at the opportunity to share more of your thoughts when this is a safe forum for it is counter productive to say the least.

Many if not most have not seen the flip side of the coin. They lack the life experience and make stupid comments. Because they are not shown their ignorance does not mean many here would not like to point it out. But this is a discussion where understanding is trying to take place and that can be ugly to see.

This is life baby. Bring your song.
