I have a question for you guys and I want you to answer in a non-racial way. If anyone gets out of hand you will be banned just like that.

With that said, me and sana live in a pretty nice apartment complex, there classified as "luxery apartments" and the people here are all very nice. Its an expensive area, (about 20 minutes from New York so most people here have a decent amount of money. There are alot of races in the complex but I would guess its 85% white. The rest being a few indian people and a few black people. This brings me to my point.

There is only 1 black family in my whole building and today I awoke two 3 cops parked in front of the building. I was listening to what was going on in the hallway and from what I gathered, the police were concerned with the mother and her 2 little girls safety and the seem to be looking for the father and his friend.

Now im not racist at all, I hate all people equally. lol. This is my question though. Out of all the people in this place why does the 1 black family bring the cops around? Now dont get me wrong, there are millions of black people that have never been in trouble with the law.

I belive everything that Bill Cosby says is 100% correct. I mean you should here this family talk, you cant even understand them alot of the time. The father is outside alot with his wife beater shirt, about 100lbs over weight and talking on his sell. Keep in mind this place has mostly Docters, and lawyers and that kind of crowd living here and you got this jackass out side making an ass out of himself. Its almost like he trys to be looked at as lower class.

Im sorry if this offends anyone but I believe it has to be said. In my opinon, black people as a group are not progressing, they are regressing.

I have actually had a lot of insight since I starting dating and since marrying my wife. She is black so i have had quite a lot of exposure to the culutre and her family since. I grew up in an almost completely white town on Lake ontario. Now I live in an almost 50 split between the races. and I can honestly say that most lower class black people are annoying. I don't like loud people anyway whatever race you are. But I seem to notice that usually dumbass white people are usually quiet but just jackasses. black people seem to want everyone to hear what they have to say and promote their independence more. I don't know the reason behind it but my wife agrees with me. I think there are so many issues in the culutral state of our country that you will never pin the issues down. But I think a lot of it comes from black people thinking they are entitled to something other than earning it. yes there is still rasicm out there but possiblities are endless now adays if you really look. of course one of these accusations can be attributed to any race but I just notice it more in the black culture. and the number one problem is that the woman of every race are popping fucking babies out like it is a contest. all these kids are growing up without dads and turn out 90% of the time BAD. There is no such thing as father figures anymore. those are just some of my thoughts.

also I believe a lot of minorities live within a false world of movies and music. They really think they should live like the morons that make music and movies. they spend so much time "looking the part" that they don't have much time left in their lives to advance themselves. Plus successful minorites are sometimes looke down upon BY THEIR OWN RACES, as if they gave in to the "white" culutre by becoming successful. Its so messed up.

Also something to think about. This country has more white people than any other race. Now you would think because there is more whites in numbers that that would mean more whites would be in prison. Why is it that 90% of the prison population is black?

Something has to be done within the black community because they are regressing at a rate that is scary.

It's not just the race factor here. If that family was white the same thing probably would have happened. What I don't ever understand is how the hell they can afford stuff like that. I know that there are a ton of upper class black people, the same with whites. But why is it that the "trashy" people of a certain race, black, white, hispanic, etc, can afford something that I bust my ass to get? I guess i'll never understand it.

This is so true. And this goes back to what was said about black people living in movies and music. Some of them just can't grasp reality. But it's the same in all races, just not as prodominant.

actually that is the dumbass drugs laws of our country-especially New york states Rockefeller sentencing guidelines. Now obviously the fact that black and other minorities resort to selling and using drugs is a problem but that goes back to the education and upbrining of them, but they should not be put in jail for 1-2 years of state prison just for having some pot.

"At midyear 2003 there were 4,834 black male prisoners per 100,000 black males in the United States in prison or jail, compared to 1,778 Hispanic male inmates per 100,000 Hispanic males and 681 white male inmates per 100,000 white males."

but if you separate them into violent and non-violent, those stats don't mean much. How many of us bitch about steroid laws and good guys going down but its the same for guys selling pot on the street or anything else. We send them away for years in state prison for not hurting anyone.

That is what this country needs is someone to finally state the simple truth. People hide how they truly feel because people will judge them and say they are wrong. But we need people to be put in there place. Just like we should be hearing the truth about congress or big business. Or even this whole damn war.

Yeah I am not argueing about the violent crimes but I have seen literally hundereds of guys go to state prison for nothing more than selling pot to guys. and as far as drug trafficing that is the same stuff that most of these guys on these boards are doing. but yes we need more minority leaders to tell the truth and tell people to get off their asses and not feel sorry for themselves. my father brought me up by telling me that if you put your mind to it almost any goal is possible, literally, its just how hard you want to work at it.

Without getting into my past too much, let me just say I have some history on one side of the fence or the other. And with the overcrowding and other issues in todays penal system, if you think these guys are getting prison time on first offenses you are sorely mistaken. They know the price when they decide to play the game, just like everyone else.
