Not out because of Non-BCS. Please see new rules for Championship games on ESPN.COM. All they have to do is go undefeated. You dont even have to play in a BCS bowl to win the nation championship! Just finish number one in the writer's poll. An undeafeated season and a at large bid to the cotton bowl to play big 12 number 2. Last year TCU was one win away from causing a major headache for the BCS, but how quickly we forget.

Who won the national championship last year, USC or LSU?

If you've been going to WVU games since you were 6 then you probably remember the 1990 UofL team that beat the mountaineers and went on to trounce Alabama in the Fiesta Bowl.

Look at preseason picks for last year. Auburn was supposed to be great. The year before that Arizona was all that. Preseason polls are always wrong. That's why you have to go out on a limb and pick some "darkhorse" teams.

I agree that USC has an excellent chance to have a great season with Leinert behind center. But how much intelligence does it take to say that? Everybody knows USC is good.

Last year LSU entered the season preseason 18. And last year you same guys who are now saying LSU, USC, Oklahoma were probably not goining the Tigers a snowball's chance in hell.

I think USC will win it all.

USC and Utah will be the only undefeated teams at the end of the year.

USC will play Georgia in the Fed Ex national championship game
