We just moved from to a different floor so I don't think it's set up yet.

      It's really annoying though

I think it is a virus. Not a bad one, but get that virus protection running.

It could be synchronizing itself to a server in a different time zone, depends on how the whole network it setup though.

Some computers have a little battery (I think it's actually one of those round watch batteries) and that's what keeps the time and date accurate for when the machine is turned off. I forget where it is inside. If the computer is old, that's probably what the problem is instead of a virus. One way to tell is to leave the time alone for a few days and see if it's still only one hour off or it it winds up a few hours off. Good luck!

                    http://www.10-best-replacement-batte...batteries.html

What do you know about your computer batteries and when you should replace them? The computer clock -PRAM or CMOS battery is used in basically all desktop and laptop computer systems that use CMOS memory to maintain the date, time and configuration information when the power supply is off. UPS replacement batteries are used as an uninterruptible power supply device that is connected between a wall outlet or power strip and an electronic device like your computer. Its purpose is to prevent power outages, sags, surges, spikes, and noise from affecting the performance and life of the electronic device and your vital data. You can find both of these computer batteries - your cmos battery and ups replacement batteries online.

How long should your cmos battery last? The estimates vary based on the amount of use the computer gets and its environment. You may wish to wait until your battery dies before you replace it, however you need to make sure you have your files backed up. Many computer users are happy to wait until their computer batteries are dead. You may prefer to replace your battery at a predetermined interval of time to avoid system down time and loss of files. You will know your battery is running down when you notice your clock has the wrong time after you have set it. When shopping online for your cmos battery or ups replacement batteries look for a reliable stable company to deal with.

Before you order your cmos battery or ups replacement batteries you should know the following: the manufacturer's name, the model number, the battery voltage, the battery capacity in Amp Hours, the length, width and height in inches (because sometimes manufacturers change battery types mid-way through production), and the number of batteries required. Check online for the best deals when you are ordering your computer batteries and save money.

Thanks for the tips Puddles, yeah I spoke to our IT guy he's gonna take care of it. He started using computer lingo and lost me there for a second, but he said he will address the problem later today. lol..So I will expect him an hour after my computer says so.
