that is exactly what they are thinking too and it is wrong. its okay to be wrong and admit it. we got saddam now leave it up to them. It doesn't make us look like cowards it makes us look more honorable to admit mistakes than to keep to the wrong thing to save face. You want to stop seeing american men and women die, then they need to leave the country to its own destiny. Did we have a right too get saddam? Yes, we got him. The beheading videos should serve as a reminder to those who seem to forget the type of people (animals) we are dealing with. I remember watching news coverage when the 2nd Iraqi war began. Fox news was reporting on our troops, portraying them as the liberators that they were. Meanwhile, CNN was going around looking for civilian casualties. Anywhere they could find where an Iraqi civilian had been killed or wounded they would report it as though we were the barbarians and the bad guys. I get so sick of people who always blame America for anything and everything that is wrong in the world. We spend endless amounts of money feeding starving people all over the world, bringing medicine, science and education to people, and most of them hate us for it. Fuck everybody, I'm sick of my country being the worlds Santa Claus. We arent perfect, but we do not behead helpless people, we do not intentionally kill noncombatants, and we do not idolize terrorists like so many in the Middle East do. If we weren't good people this war would have been over long ago, and everyone in Iraq would be dead. Can you imagine if those fuckers had nukes? And yes, we do need oil, we MUST have oil. Regardless of what technology lies in the future, our country must have oil to survive, and most of it is in the Middle East. For those who advocate pulling out, yes, perhaps eventually that will happen, perhaps not. Will it solve the problem of americans and free people of the world dying at the hands of terrorists. people need to be careful with generalizations. alot of americans dont realise this but you are subject to a great deal of propoganda, especially from networks like cnn. yes, there definately are a lot of fundamentalist scum in iraq that deserve to die, however these people make up a SMALL percentage of iraqs population. most of the population of iraq is made up of people living in developed areas, simply living out life, wishing they had the comforts/resources we had. videos like the ones that are on the net now, definately stir up harsh emotions, but think of all the terrible shit that happens in the US and all countries for that matter. look at guys like charles manson who butchered over a dozen people and all the countless others who have commited henious crimes. in the case of iraq, you ONLY see negative images because those are the only images that make international news. obviously there is an evil in iraq which is far worse than other countries but consider it as individuals, not an entire culture...
