I don't believe this story one bit.. If she is the type of person to just call a guy out trying to buy a hotdog at a ballgame. Simply because he has on a Bush button. Then she would be hanging out with some thugs, last time I watched MTV most thugs gave two shits about who wins the election. second, if she has a group of thugs with her then they would have jump the poor guy minding his own business!!

Apparently the two people involved in this altercation will be on the radio station where I originally heard this story to tell their sides of the story.

I will update this thread with their stories tomorrow if I happen to catch the call on the radio on my way into work.

          Peace

u think i actually put Smileys just for the fun of it and agreeing its bad to deck people or kill people. If u think that way bro ur wrong. I put a smiley just to go with the post i did, it didnt mean anything. U think I think its cool killing people, hell no. If im enraged when I see people getting killed. Im persuing my career in Criminology to put people like that away, not only those kinds but others too..

What I meant about the border part was that laws are no the same as to here, where Im happy living in. I gotta admit im afraid of over there Mexico.

              Just like Beefcake said:

"u are who u hang out with"

I don't believe this for one second. I hung out with school drop outs, but I graduated college. I hung out with guys who would do hard drugs like cocaine and heroin, but I never did either of those. I hung out with a kid who always lied and lost almost every job he ever had. I was never terminated from a job....well, one, but it was my choice so I could collect unemployment.

A buddy of mine used to hang out with a certain group. Almost all of them ended up in jail and he has never had trouble with the law.

BOUNCER was right. You are who you want to be. Sure, if you lay down with the dogs you are going to get fleas, but that doesn't mean you become a dog.

I had to change the post i made ealier on how i said :u are who u hang out with". I had it all wrong there, what I meant was, is that if people see you with that crowd they are gonna think ur like that.
Like Bouncer said, you are what you want to be.

I beleive they are both wrong in this situation. NO ONE should try to force their opinions on someone else or harass them about who they choose to support for president. That's why we live under a democracy. Sometimes people are hypocrits and their actions contradict the very reasons behind their arguments. I simply call it stupidity. Oh and by the way, the asswipe should definitely not have touched her. Thats just plain stupid in today's world of sue happy people.

I'm sure I'll get heat for this,
President Bush drove to a rally in Wheeling WV a couple weeks ago. I actually got pulled over to wait until he drove through. When I drove by the rally hall, there was about 100 Kerry supporters with anti-Bush signs.
I'm just wondering if Bush supporters wait at Kerry's rallies with signs. Probably not, they're all at work.

Of course they do......protesting at both party's rallies have gone on since the 60's.

Not just psychos Juice but regular people that will defend themselves in a situation!

We had a situation here in Tally about 5 years ago where a young man about 16 years old cut off an older man about 40 in traffic! The man owned a contruction company here. Well he got a bad case of road rage and decided to follow this kid and confront him. As the kid pulled into his neighbor hood the other guy passed him, got in front of him and made him stop. As the older guy jumped out of his vehicle the young man got out of his car to see what the problem was. The older man grabbed the kid by his shirt and was screaming at him, the kid in fear, pushed the man off and gave him a roundhouse kick to the side of the head. The man falls, hits head on the car then on the pavement and went into a coma. The young man was a third degree black belt in karate. I never heard whether or not the guy came out of the coma or not but it just goes to show that you can't just go and get in someones face without there being consequences!

Good point, Bouncer. If you're gonna get arrested for assault you might as well drill her in the piehole, lol.

Seriously, I don't endorse men hitting women. I'd just get a girlfriend to pop her one :D

Without having been there, all we can do is go by the information givin and fill in the details with our imagination.

I think it's possible the man could have felt physically threatened if the woman was 6" from his face yelling insults. His shoving her out of his space could have been a legitamite act of self defense.

I don't care who it is. If I feel physically threatened, I will react accordingly. I am not going to wait for someone to knee me in the groin or otherwise unload on me. Moreover, I feel strongly that such a reaction is justified.

If the woman didn't want to be touched, she should not have made someone feel physically threatened; it is simple primal justice.

I would never hit someone and expect not to be hit back for example. If I make someone feel like I am about to attack them, I would expect a response and deserve whatever I got.

[B]I was listening to the radio this morning on my way in to work and heard the following story and just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the matter.

I man was at a sporting event on Sunday in which there was a large group of Kerry/Edwards supporters. The man just happened to be wearing a Bush/Cheney button.

When the man went up to get a hotdog from one of the vendors, a woman from the Kerry/Edwards group came up and started getting in the guy's face, first just spouting off how bad Bush is and when that didn't get the reaction she wanted , she started ripping on everything from the way he was dressed to his looks.

After a minute or two of just standing there looking bewildered, he finally had had enough and when she wouldn't leave him alone, he shoved her, in which case she fell to the ground.
Once she got up she immediately ran to get security and is now going to press charges for assault, even though she is the one who initiated it in the first place.

I was just wondering who people thought was in the right in this case, the woman for think she is being assaulted or the man for protecting his personal space, regardless of which of the candidates each of them supported.

The guy was in the right for defending his personal space. That woman probably had parents who sued anyone and everyone who didn't let her have her way growing up. People think they can go around being mouthy and disrespectful without any consequences. Unfortunately, the guy is wrong in the eyes of the law.
