The funny thing about the suspension is, Artest said a few days before the fight happened that he would like some time off to finish his rap album. lol

WRONG! Artest is a problem player with a history of nothing but trouble! The commissioner knows what kind of player he is and his rulling showed it with Artest being suspended the rest of the season and Wallace only six games!

For the fan that threw a drink...the appropriate punishment is ejection from the game and perhaps being barred from the premises for life. Were ice to have hit Artest in the eye and cause injury, then an assault charge would have been in order.

For the fan that was on the court running his mouth, the appropriate punishment would have been being ejected, getting charged with trespassing, and then being barred from the premises for life.

The key word here is APPROPRIATE; while their behaviour was obnoxious, it IN NO WAY warranted a physical confrontation. Those of you supporting the way the Pacers responded clearly don't understand the law.

Funny bit on Dave Letterman tonight:

They rolled clips of the brawl with a narrative about violence, as if it was a paid commercial...and at the end said "Thank you, NBA, for picking up the slack during our lockout" while flashing the NHL logo.
