  • Mike Tyson opinion

Anyone outhere think Tyson can be champ again? Heard he had a legit reason for losing his last fight, tore a ligament in his knee.
what opinion do you guys have on him, does he use any gear? if so what kind of juice?

    I'le have a go at you questions one at a time, this is an arm chair experts opinion as I have never boxed competitively;

    Can he be champ?

I don't see why not, I'm British English and even I think Danny Williams is crap, I think Klitchkov is the best fighter around at the moment and would have trashed Lewis if he didn't get a bad cut above the eye.

Tyson still has the physical capacity, he showed that against Williams, he looked dangerous and sharpe in the first round. He fights for the knock out which always makes him exiting to watch. In the fight against Williams he seemed to give up when it looked as if it wasn't gonna be so easey, well ofcourse it wasn't Williams was putting on the show of his life because he was fighting Tyson. The real question is wether tyson really wants to be champ again, or has he become dissillusioned with boxing and is merely turning up to pay the bank?

Over the years his weak points have been exposed, he finds it tough against big physical guys; lewis, Holyfield (who was allegedly trained by Lee Haney in the run up to his first fight with Tyson to get more muscluar weight), Tyson can only fight going forward, he struggles on the back foot, when he is butted and shoved back he seems lost and frustrated.

Even with all this, I believe he could be champ if he really wanted, there is nobody as explosive as Tyson, its just getting him mentally prepped thats the difficulty, does he really want it?

In terms of whether he uses gear, well who cares? I certainly don't think he administers anything other boxers do not. we all know the score with drug testing; its not so random as they say, they can only test for what ever metabolites are listed, they cannot test for growth hormone (because the synthetic version is impossible to differenciate from that naturally secreted), and whether its through cecession of administration to clear the system for a certain date, using compounds that arn't on the banned list a la THG (Dwain Chambers), or GH, the fact is that there are ways round testing. So if I was a boxer, I would be using everything possible to win.

At the end of the day if you get hit square in the face by a 200lb plus man that trains daily in hitting people, your gonna get knocked out!, trying to avoid that and trying to knock the other guy out is what boxings about, not what you can bench, or what your physique looks like.

Having said that, Holyfield has an awsome physique, and so does Tyson, he looks sharpe physically and although he appeared no to give a shit at the Williams figh he looked happy in himself which was good to see.

I wanted Mike Tyson to win that fight b

Yeah bro, Tyson's always been one of my heros. Dosen't put up with anybody's shit knock you the fuck out and would'nt care what happens to him. It takes a man to stay in the ring after what Lennox Lewis did to him, anybody else would have had a nervous breakdown, ie. Oliver Mccall. He should be champion again, it's up to him to do it!

Tyson still has the body of a champ and probably could have it five years from now. His explosion and knockout power are still intact to a good degree. Tyson's mental/emotional state has been and will be what prevent him from recaiming a belt. Barring some sort of miracle transformation in those two areas his days of greatness are long-gone IMO. Let's face it, if Tyson were anyone else he would be down for a long streach of hard time already. On his best day he is unpredictable, most other he is a timebomb. I would predict that once his earning potential is used up he will land himself inside for good within a short time. I feel bad for the guy. Seems like a really unhappy man.

I never get tired of watcing his old fights. Funny thing is you can watch most of them in about 30-40 minutes combined.

Believe it or not, boxing, like all sports is probably at least 75% mental. You have to believe in yourself, truthfully. Tyson, Holifield and others still spout that they can be champions, but in the back of their minds, they have doubts. Of course, they'd never say that to anyone. Tyson became just another heavyweight when Buster Douglas knocked him out in Japan. Before that, every boxer he met had lost the fight BEFORE they even got in the ring, and Tyson had won before the first punch landed. BUT, after Buster, a nobody, knocked Tyson out, then all the big boys said, "hey, if Buster could do it, so can I". Mind, mind, mind. Same as weight training. If you get under the bar to do 300lbs. and you've never done it before, and you think, "I can't do it", you might as well get the hell off the bench, because chances are you can't. You have mentally defeated yourself. Same thing with Tyson, he will NEVER be more than a second rate fighter now, he does not and cannot get the mental game for his trade any longer. Besides, he's a piece of shit as a human, (actually, although humans are all animals in a biological sense, Tyson is in an ordinary sense). He is a disgrace to boxing as well as everything else in his life. Best thing for him to do is waste himself. I too used to be a huge fan of Tyson's. But Rocky Marciano, Muhammed Ali, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, and other great heavyweights brought something to the game Tyson had at one time, but ruined it by his inhuman behaviour. He is just fucking nuts and should be put away permenantly. BB

I don't agree with that Bro. The man has been fucked over majorly in life. I can relate somewhat to him having people do unjustified harm to me. Tell you what! I don't blame his behaviour, I think he's a man for telling everyone to fuck off!
If the guy has problems, people should step up to help him.
Bro, it is cheesy of you to say for him to waste himself! If you were behaving fucked up in life and someone said that to you, how would you respond?

I think tyson deserves a break, yes he has shown bad attitude in the past, and this may way be a reflection of the way he's been brought up. He has in my view been a victim of circumstance and while this doesn't excuse some of his behaviour it certainly explains it.

What's ironic to me is that society makes him a bad boy with attitude, his attitude and fighting instinct and spirit gets him through life to a point where he becomes a feared boxing opponent, immoral people like Don king befreind the man then further cultivate his bad attitude and use it as a selling point to promote sales. Then another cunt of a person marries tyson and takes him for everything, leaves him an emotional wreck and we then rip him apart for the very quality in him that we have paid tickets or stayed up late on pay per view to watch in him.

His one real freind Customata (spelling) died, since then who has been around Tyson, low lifes and thieves in search of notariety and money thats who.

I'm not excusing Tysons behaviour in the past, he is an adult and is responsible for his actions like the rest of us. I am saying that people all over seem to develop the wrong part of his character, build him up only to rip him down again.

Lately Tyson hasn't been the same ferocious fighter that he used to be, but he has in my view appeared more worldly wise and mentally healthy, he doesn't seem to have the killer instinct, but nor does he have the same degree of anti social behaviour.

In my view he should declare himself bankrupt, fuck all his debts off that way, train like he used to, get a rematch with Danny williams, win that, get a match with Klitchcov, get beat what ever, get the money and get the fuck out of the ring, leave it for the others to get mugged off and retire.

Everyone seems to want to see him fall, I don't and I think he may suprise us yet!

Tyson is NOT A VICTIM!! He had the world in his hands and threw it away. The choices he made in life were his own. Raping a girl doesn't make him a victim, it makes him an animal. There is no excuse whatsoever. All the other crazy behaviour he exhibited were also his choice. You guys can think all you like that he was used, shit on and made to be the way he is. If he were a real man, he would have accepted the defeats he had, in and out of the ring, and "stepped up" and behaved like a true champion and man. He did neither and paid the price. Tyson will never win another big fight. Sure he may kick the shit out of some nobodys, but that'll be it for him. The breaks in life are always made by the people who receive them, and the real test of a man is to come back from adversity and be a winner. BB

He has been fucked over. Everyone gets fucked over. A lot of people come up hard. Not everyone behaves like an animal. I can empathize with the the miserable place he has reached in life but beyond that he has gotten of pretty easy for his actions. How would you feel about Tyson if it was your sister that he was convicted of raping? Or if you were missing a piece of your ear? If Tyson was not a celeb he would be rotting in jail as we speak. I always find it interesting how much slack athletes and other high profile people get and the excuses that get made for them. Bottom line: If Tyson was not Tyson who would feel bad for him? No one. And no, people should not be expected reach out to him. If he needs help, he needs to go and get it for himself. He is a man not a child.
