we pay a preminum to live in a dog friendly complex that's not run down.

there's an extra dog deposit and an extra monthly dog rent.

and no, we're not getting another dog.

haha, ya bro we actually moved here because they allow pets. it is very hard to find a "luxary apartment" in north jersey that allow pets.

Yep I had to pay dog rent plus an extra $100 non refundable deposit for my schnauzers. It's the price to pay though to have some companionship.

By the way Bouncer, great looking pup.

I was just at the dog beach w/my gf the other day and a lady had a Bourdeaux. I was so enamored by that pup. The are so tough looking and he was just a pup. Great choice. The Argentino Dogo is a nice dog too. Kind of like a big pitbull originally used to hunt wildcats and boar.

If you have never had a dog dont start out with one that weighs 150lbs. They are not something you can put away in the closet when you get sick of them. The price ranges from 1500-2500$.

dogs need a lot of attentiion and play time and the bigger they are the more playtime. I feel bad for my parents' rott/lab mix as he is 8 months old and already huge. Unfotunately with the old man being just that, Sam usually uses his energy to go off and destroy anything he can sink the teeth into.

hey Bouncer being as you live in an apartment, you live on the ground floor?? reason i ask is, it would be a pain in the butt taking the dog out every time he wants to do his business.

yeah price is pretty expensive my dad traded a colt for one. It's dad was a world champion show dog and was on the cover of some bull mastiff book.

I have had this conversation with so many 1st time dog owners. Dogs are your children and they are family, to go into it thinking anything less is a total disservice to the beast and yourself. Dogs are for life and need to be treated as you would any member of your immediate family. I have such a hard time with people that take on a dog and then abandon them to the out doors when they loose interest in them or there children loose interest. They are living feeling emotional creatures. They Love, Hate, get angry, and love to play and just be a member of the family. They have every emotion the you do. They are your children and if you understand this going in you will have a friend for life
