If you have never had a dog dont start out with one that weighs 150lbs. They are not something you can put away in the closet when you get sick of them. The price ranges from 1500-2500$.Originally posted by phatchopper
I have got to get one of these dogs, as soon as I get a house which should be soon I'm definietly getting a bull mastiff. What is the price for a puppy from a reputable source?

dogs need a lot of attentiion and play time and the bigger they are the more playtime. I feel bad for my parents' rott/lab mix as he is 8 months old and already huge. Unfotunately with the old man being just that, Sam usually uses his energy to go off and destroy anything he can sink the teeth into.

I have had this conversation with so many 1st time dog owners. Dogs are your children and they are family, to go into it thinking anything less is a total disservice to the beast and yourself. Dogs are for life and need to be treated as you would any member of your immediate family. I have such a hard time with people that take on a dog and then abandon them to the out doors when they loose interest in them or there children loose interest. They are living feeling emotional creatures. They Love, Hate, get angry, and love to play and just be a member of the family. They have every emotion the you do. They are your children and if you understand this going in you will have a friend for lifeOriginally posted by THE BOUNCER
