I also have really bad astigmatisms but there are now contact lenses designed for people like us. They're called Frequency 55 by Toric. They have a very slight difference in thickness so that the bottom will weigh more than the rest of the lens and the portion that covers the astigmatism (wherever it may be located) gets proper lens coverage. That portion of the lens is manufactured to the correct prescription to meet the difference in your vision needs and doesn't shift while on your eye. Check it out, you'll probably get a sample pair for free to see if you like them. Glasses suck in hot & humid weather.
