The bad thing about this is that teenagers are going to continue the myth of winny being a useful AS by itself. Since Palmeiro is already busted, he should say what else he used "so that others learn from his mistakes".

Should've just did prop, would have been the same 3 week detection time. Guess they didn't give him a heads up this time.

I don't understand why he would winny. Couldn't that actually work against him being a ball player. I've never liked winny b/c of the neg's it has on the joints.

Winstrol does seem like a bad choice for an older athlete, over 40. Our joints dry out fast with winstrol. I doubt I'll ever run it anymore.... It gets to my knees in just a couple of weeks. Laugh if you want, but he may have been set up. Stranger things have happened.

Maybe somebody spiked his toothpaste like that German athlete that got busted a few years ago claimed ... yeah, that must be it......or maybe he was using horse manure from some doped-up racehorses to fertilize his organic vegetable garden......

Why do they keep referring to winny in the context of Palmeiros test as "POWERFUL" steroid...this fucking media assholes crack me up with their well placed non-sensisical adjectives. Just like what they do with the war on "TERROR". There are terror raids and terror alerts and now we have POWERFUL winny. fucking idiots.

Yeah....that shit about winny being a very powerful steriod made me laugh. Idiots...the least they could do is put in a few minutes of research before writing their shitty stories.

It's the media, it's always their goal to twist things and make them look worse than they really are. By saying it's so powerful, makes people think that's the only reason palmeiro got the numbers he did, when in actuallity, winny probably didn't do shit for his numbers. They want drama, they don't want to say, "stanazolol is actually a very weak steroid and probably didn't contribute much, if at all anything, to his athletic performance. "

Here is a long article off espn.com quoting several university experts on on stanozolol, its effects, etc.
                        -------------------------------------

Stanozolol, the muscle-building anabolic steroid that Rafael Palmeiro tested positive for, can help athletes avoid being sidelined by injury and make them perform better -- but it's so easily detected that one expert said he's amazed any player subject to drug screening would dare use it.
