My Family is from New Orleans and some in Mississippi, there were also many people in Mississippi that are not African American that did not leave when told to do so. Many stayed with their houses. Also water was brought Mississippi much faster than New Orleans. My cousins down their are getting water and food that is being brought in. There is a problem why aid is not coming fast enough. So the whole racial thing about New Orleans is not relevant, the bottom line is aid should be there and be there faster just like all the other crisis we have in the US and around the world. The hurricane did not do the most damage it is the water ways and this should have all been prevented. A lot of the people who stayed were elderly with no way to get out. The looting is wrong of course it is, but there are still people dying for no reason and this should not be happening.

you say the food and water, the aid should be getting there quicker, but "people" are shooting at everyone who comes to help them in new orleans.....people are even running into the hospitals holding everyone up for drugs

and yes race IS relevant when you have the naacp on tv saying the slowness is because everyone is black...they don't acknowledge that some of those black people are holding ak-47's shooting at the gas tanks of helicoptors and shooting at the ambulances trying to steal them and drive off.....should these volunteers bringing food fight through the bullets and risk there life to help these people

Ok dude what ever you say. I am naive, there are many people there also helping others, there are many people there helping that you are not seeing on TV. Also FYI, black are not the majority on Welfare, the welfare system was not created for blacks, when it was created only white were allowed to get welfare.

Bottom line people need help and I have done what I can and will continue whether it is money, supplies. My wife is actually flying into Houston on Sunday to help family members and other that will need help because it is needed. Like we have helped for 9/11 and the tsunami.

Let's start with your last paragraph first, if you believe that in a time of crisis, our government should not step in to aid all "Americans," you should stop paying your local taxes to pay officers, fire fighters, national guard, etc., which are all paid by by local, state, and federal tax dollars. "Aid" is for everyone, even the scum of the earth, that's why we have both "aid" programs and legislation "laws" that are separate. "Aid" is for everyone, not just the people that are not criminals. That's why we have legislation for criminals. We still feed criminals in prison, these criminals have not been caught, but hopefully they will by our local, state, and federally paid officers. Other than your comment about "anti-NAACP," I could not agree more. The NAACP is not all about segregation, racism, etc. Unfortunately, this is what is being promoted. My only guess about the NAACP comments from CNN, is to attempt to draw more attention and aid to the effected areas (I also agree using the race card is not the way to do it).

The majority of citizens left are POOR and if you know anything about statistics, 80%+ of all criminals live at or under the poverty line. To reinforce this, let me reiterate, the bulk of individuals left in the effected areas are POOR. As stated in my first response to your "soap box release," POOR is POOR, criminals are criminals, and neither change because of a hurricane. The POOR are still POOR (even more so), and criminals are still criminals. One again, in different wording, the POOR of the nation, specifically in New Orleans, the majority are black or another minority group.

Second paragraph: I did not say that caucasions are not being reported on, I said the BULK of the people left are POOR, which equates to a LARGE percentage of BLACK PEOPLE. Being that there is crime in progress by the left over citizens, you will see the MAJORITY (or even all) of these crimes being commited by minorities. Do I need to write this in crayon or something. I agree that this behavior of any race is insane and should not be tolerated.

Below is a quote from you, if you are not refering to black people in this below quote, you must be refering to ALIENS from the new smash hit, MIB-III. Come on, you were refering to blacks, specifically the ones shown on your TV. There is not specific reference to ALL black people here, but if you were refering to maybe 100 or 500, I could believe you weren't refering to all blacks, but it looks like you are refering to people on "government assistance." What do you know about government assistance and who it helps and who it doesn't!?! There are many holes in every system our government creates, that's a fact. You want to do something about those holes, run for congress and change them, BUT until then, we deal with what the "voters" have created with our law-makers. These looters are not making the entire city of New Orleans look bad, just themselves. An educated person will use logic and reason to come to this assumption. EXACTLY! They should just put a fence around New Orleans so they can all kill themselves. I've been to New Orleans and its the dirtiest, nastiest, smelling city i've ever been to. The descent people moved when Katrina came. So now if they put a fence around New Orleans then it'll just wipe out most of their crime and scum because they'll all kill themself. I think you'll see a marked difference in security today, perhaps tomorrow, as troops, National Guard and regular Army start arriving. They have been given orders to "shoot to kill" if they are attacked. I personally believe they probably have been told to shoot anybody who is looting anything other than food and/or water, if there is any left. The people who are left in the city now are the worst of the worst criminal element. They have had access to drug stores and liquor stores and you know they have been helping themselves and are probably "high as Georgia Pines" and just looking to hurt people. They'll get their's very, very soon. Some of the troops going in are seasoned fighters and have been to Iraq and Afganistan, so they know how to handle a house to house street fight. and yes actions by few reflect a large quantity of people.....like say you live in a small neighborhood and a gang of 5 people constantly steal, hold up and rob cars, shoot at people, etc...nobody is going to want to come to your neighborhood, they're gonna think all of you in that neighborhood are loco, because there are no faces to the crime

The Tsunami effected mostly black people and there was no looting shooting etc. It is a moral problem not a racial problem.
