i'll be cold.....all those people or 99% of those people bitching about there food, water and lackthereof are probably the same people who are getting their meals thanks to us taxpayers, they are probably leaving in free housing, and they probably have 10 kids with 10 different partners that NONE of them can afford to begin with....and on top of that, they probably aren't even supporting the children with the money the government sends them, they're probably snorting it up their nose and that's why they didn't bring any food or water to the dome!!!!!!!

I understand the need for welfare, for needy people to get some help while they're trying to get back on their feet, but what needs to be changed is the way the welfare system is run and the people who rely on gov't. aid to live on for years on end, generation after generation. It should not be a way of life, it should be for emergencies, which is what it was initially designed for.

Years ago we had a wonderful family like that as neighbors. They kept a pig as a pet and it would get out every garbage day and knock down all the trash cans on the block leaving us with a mess to clean up every week. The parents would sit in their garage drinking till the wee hours and sleeping all day while their kids roamed the neighborhood. Their little girl would come over to play with my daughter and she was always complaining she had no toys, nothing to eat, etc. I was happy to do what I could to make her day better. Well, I had to put a stop to her coming over when she got into our house through a back door while we were out, and she stole a bunch of my daughters things. We saw her playing with these things so we confronted the parents. It was pointless, they didn't care about their child or the fact that she stole. I saw the little girl one time after that and had a good talk to her and explained why what she did was wrong, etc. I wonder if it did any good, I never saw her after that because they moved shortly afterwards.

lol...I feel for you...I only say that I love them because most of the people I deal with all day fall into that category. You know those families that have only 10 teeth between all 5 of them. Or the fat mother who wears the bright yellow shirt that says "I'M THE BOSS". Of course it doens't beat the "hard ass" gangbangers that come in and can barely break 2 decibels when they talk to me because they have to public speaking skills or articulation to speak of.

Now I will say I do get along better with poor white trash rednecks than poor black people. Cause I can still understand the poor white guy with two teeth better than a can black guy with a full set of gold teeth. I use to work at UPS and all my co-workers were black guys from the city. No shit, everytime they talk to me I was like, huh? what? What did you say? They said it again and I said I can't fucking understand you! I too give blood at the college and I gave $200 to the Red Cross Katrina relief effort.

I just got back from Vegas yesterday and today (wednesday), my daughter and I bagged up all her clothes she won't be wearing, my extra clothing and will be donating it to the relief effort this week.
