Because i'm not using logic and I said God can't be explained with logic. See what I mean, you only think in terms of logic. Thank you for proving my point, that helped.

So you speak for god now?

Just so we are clear, I do believe in god and I also believe in science. But when I see little twits like you that go around and try to push your beliefs on others it makes me sick. You say "you can say whats right and wrong in gods eyes". Are you looking threw gods eyes? Sounds to me like your trying to compare yourself to god.

NO. You have me wrong. I'm not looking through God's eyes, i'm looking through what the bible says. I'm not pushing my beliefs on any of you nor would I like to change any of you, but I do feel its my duty to warn and possibly open some eyes on what is happening with thise natural disasters. I get my insight from the bible, nothing fancy.

the bible was written by a human being. it was created out of a religion. so do you follow god or do you follow the bible?

No, actually the bible says that your brain will get in the way of your faith if you let it. Your brain is logic. Your heart gives you your faith. Blind faith as some would call it.

Good luck all, i'll stop now don't want to turn this into a big debate. I thought the Katrina reference was interesting and wanted to share it.

I figured Mr. Shibby, someone who just witnessed the miracle of life wouldn't be so hateful. Strange.

Also keep in mind, I consider myself as one who also needs to be warned and clean up my act, because I too am a sinner. I am no better than anyone else, but am working on it.

The Bible was written by humans, yeah, but was written using the words of Jesus, the son of God. The disciples were with Jesus during his teachings and miracles, then they wrote the different books of the bible based on those experiences.

But thats the problem. You are reading something that was written by a human. Anytime mankind has anything to do with it, I dont trust it. People always have agenda's. So when a book tells you to not use your head and have "blind faith" its like me telling you to give me all your money because money is evil and you should use your heart. Dont use your head at all, just send me the money because you know its the right thing to do. Just have "blind faith" bro..

i will not believe anything that was written by man. man cannot make up a set of rules for me that i should follow in a book. like you say, follow your heart. well i am following my heart and i believe there is a god. i just dont believe god is anything like the bible says and i do not believe it speaks for god.

the problem with you is your to worried about other people. talking about gay people, and such. i believe god would want you to be the best person you can be and not worry about or judge others.

Well I'll be damned if I am damned. I'm not hateful of people beliving what they want to believe. But to spew it on someone else as there life is wrong just gets on my nerves so much. Also my baby will be babtised in December. He will be going home with my Fiance to Poland where she will have him babtised as a Roman Catholic (I think that's what she is). But it makes no difference to me.

I guess, but I also think about maybe god is the real devil and everything is just turned around since the people of thousands of years ago would believe anything the rich/powerful told them. What better way is there to get away with horendous acts then to convince everyone it was in honor of an indisputable higher power.

Like I said, anything is possible and we will never be able to prove or disprove it. That is why I think it's so rediculous to try and push personal beliefs on to people.

                              I can agree with that.

I'm admitting my laziness in this thread but I didn't get beyond this post before thinking to myslef, what true GOD wouldn't be logical? I've had enough of religion and politics thrown down my throat lately, I'll stick with morality and what I feel and know is is right and honest in my heart. I'm off to spend some time with my daughter now.
