When I was younger I couldn't have imagined my life turning out as wonderful as it has. I wanted simple things...a loving husband, a child or two and a nice home. My life has far exceeded my wildest expectations and I have my husband to thank for making it all happen.

lets see, I graduated HS in '93, graduated college in '97, got married in '97, had first child in'00 and 4 YEARS LATER will be having child #2 '04. My job is in the field of art. I live in a house that is decorated with bright colors. I have a boat I can stay on. I drive a nice car...

It's exactly like what I had planned. I am so boring!!!

when your young you dont have a plan ... you have dreams . Like, I want to be rich , I want to drive a porsche , and I don't want to work very hard ...... hey wait a minute ... My life is a dream . Knock on wood ... I did not have a plan , I rolled with it , whatever came , so be it... there was some interesting turns . I joined the friggin Marines ... Never in a million years did I see that coming ... but other than that , I have just kind of been like Gumby baby . Very Flexible!

A few months before I turned 30 realized my life was nothing like I had dreamed it would be. Several months later, realized it was same thing for almost everyone I knew.

At 32-33 saw this pattern continuing.

At 34 changed it all. At 41 reached the dreams I set for myself at 18. The last decade has been the most fun enjoyable wild and crazy, like teek said, I was much more flexible and enjoyed the journey, which eliminated alot of stress and anxiety about the whole thing, which made it all happen faster and better, even if I couldn't see it at the time. If that makes any sense?

Whatever you do, just try and learn and grow from it, listen to yourself and not others.

Decide what makes you happy and do it, not what the crowd is doing.

If I followed the crowd I'd be 45 fat and watching the tube all the time, stressed out over the diabetes epidemic the media has been trumpeting for the last two months.

Instead I'm more of a kid than ever before, grown-ups bore me, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, lol

don't fret, life gets better, you'll figure out what is important for you in due time, thatsa life

The only thing I ever wanted to do growing up was be a Marine. Once I realized that could not stay in the service (at least as enlisted) and not be on food stamps. I got out and had no idea what to do with my life. I learned a good skill in the Corps and have a good job. Granted it’s boring as hell and I would rather do just about anything else.
I never would have thought as a kid that I would work on computers when I got older. Hell I didn’t even play video games when I was a kid.

Doom, I can say the exact thing for me as well. I am sooo lucky to be alive right now, You learn great lessons in life, sometimes the hard way. No matter where we are in life we always tend to want more, now I have learned to be happy with what I have and always strive to be better, but not let it take over my life and enjoy, you never know what tomorrow brings you. A year ago I had a beautiful condo, I was in really good shape, I drove a car that I loved, bought right off the showroom floor, then some asshole had to destroy it all, But I was left with my life, and career, now I am starting all over again but I value the little things in life much more. And I have to add that friend's are one of the most valuable things in life to have. You can be rich and on top of the world, but without good friends it's worthless.
