I use mine to transfer and store computer shit from work and home, I have like 40 hours of music and have not even scratched the surface (so to speak) of the storage capacity! Plus I don't have to buy batteries all the time. I like it!

mp3 is technology.. Ipod is top of the line... makes sense to me to buy one.

ipod is top of the line? show me proof. explain to me how an ipod is more "top of the line" then a dell DJ or any of the other nicer players?

Other downside abot having an i pod is,most online music companies don't support it you have to use i tunes only, like i am a member at napster and $15.00 a month I can download unlimited songs in to my mp3 player and guess what u can't down load songs in to your i pod. You can use other brands but no ipods. It's not that they won't let you but because of the greedy people at apple. All other mp3 players use common format but not the i pod so you are stuck with the i tunes, unless if you have a different way to get on line music.

You still have all the songs you downloaded earlier for the $15. Technically, you only need a month to get all the songs you need.

I have some software that converts an mp3 to the ipod format. I know I've transferred all my napster, mozilla, etc. downloads onto the ipod. I've never heard that complaint before. :dunno:

I know if u cancel your membeship u only have month with the music in your mp3 player after that it is gone. But look at it this way 15 bucks is like buying one cd a month so it's still a better deal than buying only one cd a month. :)

No unfortunatelly you can't keep the music unless u pay your membership.
but say u pay a buck a song and my dell holds 2500 songs that makes $2500.00 so which one is a better deal?it'll take me 166 months to pay that in membership fees it is like 13 years. I don't think i'll be keeping some of the songs that long. :) So far I've owned my dell for 6 mos and I allready downloaded over 1000 songs so i tunes 99 cents a song x 1000 songs = $999.00 I think I am still ahead what do you think. :hmmm:
