Yeah, there are a lot of grey areas.

I'm guilty of drinking while intoxicated in the past more times than I care to admit. I never got caught though. I'm lucky I didn't hurt anyone or myself. Had I been caught and pink tagged, I know I would have been more thoughtful after that.

Now if I'm gonna drink we make sure someone's a designated driver. If it's a special occasion and nobody wants to be responsible we rent a limo and go out. Most of the time our parties are at home now and just friends sleep over.
I want to sleep over. :nerdnew:

I live in Ohio and we already have that for dui offenders which is yellow with red letters. We will soon have them for sex offenders which will be pink.

              Personally, I think its bullshit.

Are we going to tag everyone who talks on the cell phone while driving (which, statistcally, is just about as dangerous as drinking and driving). What about all those people who get good lawyers and get off? And what about all those people who do it and don't get caught?

I hate to say it, but DUI is just a bullshit thing that was invented to get a shitload of money out of the American public. They have so many groups that spend all their time trying to trump it up. Yeah, its bad! So is driving tiered. Or getting head while you drive. Or talking on the cell phone. All just about as dangerous. But we only look at DUI because its a "sin" to drink, and people think that you can "prevent it".

I know this is going to get me flamed, but I think its time to start punishing people more equally. Those who are dangerous should all get the same punishment.

Sorry, flame away, its just my opinion.

Oh; and the other thing. Why in the hell aren't people working harder on cars that can drive themselves? Do we really think this is an unsolvable problem? I seriously doubt that! We are no longer able to react at the speed that these cars are capable of. We need to let the computers do the driving; its perhaps the biggest cause of premature death in our country (except for obesity; and you know how I feel about that) and nobody seems to work on this. Let me tell you; its doable. If you think that computer isn't able to figure out the angles and speeds better then us your wrong. We just need the drive to make it happen. This is something that could revolutionize to world like only the car and airplane have before. Its also well beyond the time to start to work on this problem; we do not need bigger roads, we need people who can drive closer together at higher speed (read, Intel).

Anyway, either way, I just don't want MSFT making the software. :) "Pull over and reboot your car please".

I want you to too! Can we go to Bush Gardens too? I like roller coasters. The Assimilator is my favorite though, I think we have something similar here now. :)
