Against a very powerful Loyola Marymount team

Reddick does his scoring against ACC and top 25 teams, Morrison and the very overrated 'Zags do it against school's I didnt know had basketball teams....

Lets overview this Gonzaga 2006 schedule:

      Santa Clara
St. Mary's (thats somewhere in California, right?)
      Stanford
      Portland
      Loyola Marymount
      Pepperdine
      San Diego
      San Francisco

      Are you serious?

Ok YJ we all know your an ACC boy and can't comprehend that someone outside your conference is actually better...

        Reddick points
        Daividson - 29
        Drexel - 31
        Valpo - 30
        UNC-Green - 35
        W.Forest (1-11 in Conf, 13-13 Overall - loss to DePaul???) - 32, 33
        Clemson (4-8 in Conf, 15-10 Overall - loss to Elon???) - 34
        Maryland (6-6 in Conf, 16-7 Overall - loss to Gonzaga(Morrison had 25)) - 35, 27
        Virginia (6-6 in Conf, 13-10 Overall - loss to Gonzaga(Morrison had 27) & Fordham???) - 40
Miami (6-7 in Conf, 14-12 Overall - loss to Air Force & Temple) - 30

Let's face it, ACC is over-rated this year, they got 4 good teams - Duke, NC State, UNC, BC

Morrison had 43 against #16.Mich St, 41 against #21.Washington, 34 against #3.Memphis (Reddick only had 15 against Memphis) - Saying the Morrison would be mediocre in ACC or Big East is just plain ignorant especially when they've beaten 2 ACC teams

Morrison steps up in big games

And remember this is for the best OVERALL player - Reddick's defense needs improvement, Morrison is definatly a better defender

Reddick has had an incredible career, but we're talking about the Player of the YEAR

Morrison has better FG%, 3PT%, RPG, BPG, & LessTO - he's barely behind in STLs and ASTs

You know I can't help but think about it like this. Morrison has alot of those points because he has too. Just like Kobe has too. Reddick is more like Wayde, he has more help so he dosn't need to score high every game. Dosn't mean he can't. Morrison shines standing alone and Reddick shines amongst other great talent.

I didnt even read most of that.... because.... Duke is Duke. They are a basketball dynasty, Gonzaga is good because they play no one.

And Shibby is correct..... can anyone name anyone else that plays for Gonzaga?

Domnt get my wrong, Morrison is a good player, you dont score that many points because you suck, but when it comes down to it, he's no JJ Reddick.

I agree to a certain point but you also have to look at the flip side. Don't you think that since Duke has better players all around that they're offense is run better and more officiently and when you have a shooter like Reddick you have plays set up for him. And when he's off, other players step up to win games (Memphis for example). While Morrison is surrounded by nobody's, other teams can focus on him and try to shut him down and not have to worry about other players beating them. They're defense becomes more one-dimensional, and he still finds a way to beat them.

Reddick doesn't really have to find his shots or create shots for himself because of the talent surrounding him while Morrison has to create for himself because of the focus that's drawn to him.

It's hard to believe that Reddick isn't trying to score when he averages 17.8 FGA and 9.8 3PA a game while Morrison averages 19.1 FGA and 5.3 3PA a game.

Well thats good in theory, let's face it, their schedule is comical. You have kids who were decent high school players guarding him, and more power to him for scoring 30+ a game, but if he didnt, frankly it would be embarrassing.

I don't know how you can say Reddick dosn't create his shots. Morrison has more of an inside game than Reddick which brings the defense off his perimiter shots. Reddick is face guarded like it's going out of style and still gets his shots.

yeah... at the free throw line...

                        3/10 from the field
                        1/6 from behind the arc
4/6 from the free throw line

                        Duke 25/39 from line
                        Temple 4/10 from the line

the fucked up thing about it is Redick got player of the game b/c he broke the record... even tho he shot like shit and didn't do anything all game... Sheldon Williams should have got player of the game with 23 pts and 12 rebs, without Williams, duke would have lost... talk about suckin Redick's dick

You know the funny thing about this whole thing and when I talk to people who think Morrison should win it... They talk so much about why Reddick shouldn't win instead of why Morrison should win it. I don't waste my time trying to convince others why Morrison shouldn't get it. It would take an act of god to change someones mind. So I will just support Reddick and let everyone hate on him because he's the best.

                              Player of the year.......

All time leading scorer in the history of the ACC or a guy who plays decent high school teams all year? Not even close.

Ironically enough, your kid-toucher Morrison has the same 11 points....against San Diego?
