Bayliner's are usually considered base model boats. I have freinds who own them and love them and I know some people who had a bad experience with them, not sure why. Have you looked at Sea Ray? Very nice boats. Also Bass Pro Shops has a nice line of boats, not sure of the brand name. Good luck in your boating venture!
