I hate to sound overly bias and I don't like to talk about conspiracy in sports. But if anyone is watching the USA right now, do you get the feeling through these games that someone has something against USA with the way these calls keep going?

USA has some quality players; Bisley and Keller etc. They've all shown lots of heart so far.

The ref's have been egotistical pricks so far, particularly that one yesterday with the stupid slick back hair like he's Don Corlione or something, very padantic about little shit instead of letting the game flow

Well bad calls or not, USA played weak in the second half. Couldn't finish for the life of them and Landon Donaven was no where. Oh well I still like England so I have one team left to watch.

To let off a little more steam. I have been watchig the replays of Landon Donavan and it almost looks like HE was paid off to loose. It kind of looks like a basketball player that makes mistakes to shave points.

I think I need a week to recover from the heart stopages & the palpatations the Australia & Croatia game gave. What on earth posessed them to change our goal keeper :hmm: .
No penalty for the holding back of Vaduka or for when a Croatia player clearly hit the ball out with his hand. ARGHH :spank: @ the Ref!
& not to mention Simunic & his red card, GET THE FU(|{ OFF THE FIELD ALREADY!

:elephant: Huge breath of fresh air & YES YES, we are through. Italy next!

Good luck with Italy, they're a hot team going into the second round.

Thanks Shibby. Unfortunately I havnt had a chance to watch them play yet, so I have no idea what we are in for. So i'll just be crossing the fingers for this one.

Well I think the best way to describe there games so far is that they play strict. They move the ball around nicely, crisp passes, but all of a suddent they will make the dumbest move. There are only a few of them in a game, so if Australia can stay in the game and take advantages of these few mistakes I think they can do it.

Sounds like we are now down to serious business. I think determination, excitment & heart got us through so far. From here on in it might need to be pure Football? But like you say, mistakes could win us the game. Anyone can win a game off another teams mistakes! Only problem is that will only get you so far wont it :( Eventually you have to win it yourself. Thats where our problem lays. (arghhh i hate being negative)

Damn, the Ned vs Por game was crazy. Something like 15 yellow cards, 3 red cards and a few scuffles. Portugal is going to have a tough time against England. They have 2 starters (I think) out for the red card and a possible third from an early game injury.

I'm waiting for Australia vs Italy. Its 11.30pm. Still an hour to go. Kewell is OUT!! Sad, but a team cannot rely on one particular player to win. FINGERS CROSSED. With all the games I have watched so far, its simply a matter of the game on the day! Shit happens. And I hope to freaking powers above it all happens on the SOCCEROOS behalf :D

I didn't get to see that game, but it looks like Aus had a great chance.
