I would say more of a joke. I saw someone say this on TV and it actually made me think (after laughing about it).

Alot of older people have a living room and a TV room. The tv room will be just like what most of us have for a living room, and then the other is the same but without a tv alot of times there is a large window that most stuff points to or a piano ect. Its really nice if i ever have a family and get to build my own house it will have one.

Thats if it was a serious question

Actually, our TV/entertainment room is downstairs, and we have a living room w/ no TV in it on the main level. My parents always had it that way. They usually used the living room for entertaining, so I guess that's where I got it. My living room is really contemporary and has this great slate fireplace up to the ceiling, and even if I had the chance I wouldn't want a TV in there. I wouldn't want to ruin the presentation of the room itself. It's a great room to sit and chat instead of no one talking because they're watching TV.

                              I don't have TV - personal choice.
My furniture points to the middle of the room, so people can sit and talk to each other.
Its been 5 years since I last had TV and I don't miss it a bit.
I suck at Trivial Pursuit though :)
