I could have possibly met my demise yesterday.
I was at a friends ranch shooting various guns and decided to try some of his recently pruchased 'reloads' in my .357 revolver. Earlier in the day we were shooting targets, however at this point we ventured to the pond too shoot floating targets. This is what basically saved my ass.
The very first reloaded round that I attempted to fire sounded just fine , but I noticed that nothing hit the water. So I chose not to fire another round, remove the cylinder and look in the barrel and there lodged about half way in the barrel was the projectile.
If I would have been firing at the target on the tree like I was 15 minutes prior I would have never even realized that nothing came out and I would have fired off another round. This would have most likely caused the pistol to explode, quite possibly killing me or at the very least severely injuring me.
It's one of those moments that you revisit in your mind and realize how narrowly you escaped.
