    whos your daddy?

if you cant read or dont feel like it lol basicallly there are women out there putting one father on a birth cert that is not the actual father of the child.

This is not something that is new.. all you have to do is watch any day time talk show.. and all the paternity shows.. where the female has told the guy she is 100% sure that one guy is the father.. and it turns out to be a negative dna match... it is a scary trend..

I think paternity tests should be mandatory at birth.

It should just be lumped in with the cost of the birth. It's a medical issue, it helps to know the babies true family medical history.

But what does that do if the woman doesn't even know? All the men she's been with are required to come to the hospital? That would never work because they'd avoid it like the plague for fear they'd be the father....

I think that leads to Control's point. If the woman just puts down the name she thinks and that man is legally responsible... Well that's what becomse the big issue in child support. Men will deny (even if they know they are) being the father to avoid financial responsibility. I also think that it would really reduce marital affairs, but would also increase the abortion issue.

So if the women don't act like sluts this wouldn't be such a problem, in time it would definately encourage fidelity

I still don't understand. Who gets tested? Just the man she says it is? How do we make him show up?

I never thought about it that extensively. I just understand what Control is saying. If there isn't a father that can be tested (within a reasonable time frame), then a father can't be put on the birth certificate (unless in an incedent of death, then a death certificate presented).
