I have a windows vista question. Everyone has probably seen the MAC and Windows Vista commercial with the security guy standing next to the PC. Every time the PC goes to do something, the security guard says Allow or Cancel. That is so true. I installed a copy of Vista on my PC and have everything up and running okay, but now I have that Allow/Cancel window popping up alot. It says that my account settings is what is causing it, but I can't figure out for the life of me where to change the settings to lower the security settings in order to get it to quit doing that. Anyone know how??????????
One other thing. I put a fresh copy of Vista on. I have one driver that I can't figure out what it is talking about. Every time that I reboot, it says it has found new hardware, Simple Communications controller. I let it search for the driver and no luck. I installed the drivers that came with my motherboard and it didn't help. I downloaded a Vista version of my driver package for the motherboard. No luck. I have a NVidia Video card, but installed the drivers and it works fine. I think I have a PCI USB card in there with an extra 4 usb ports. Could that be what is causing all of this? If so, I guess I would need to download the drivers for that???
Any input would be appreciated.
