I have to strongly disagree. Religion, for lack of a better word, isn't holding us back. What do you think our justice system is based on? The writers of the Constitution were deeply religious and incorporated their beliefs into the foundation of our legal system.

As far as stem cell research goes, adult stem cell research has shown far greater results and potential than has embryonic stem cell research. Adult stem cell research is the way to go anyway.

And for the record, eggs that we eat are not fertilized....hence, no chicken. :D

You and me both. I believe whole heartedly that with the go ahead and the funding there are a lot of medical breakthroughs that could be made.

Ok, now that I'm home... As for godson I think his statement was ridiculous and he is very hypocritical, but I think everyone who follows a religion and lives in todays world is a bit hypocritical. That's just something about me that a lot won't agree with. The fact that Bush actually has said "god" said he should do something is awful. Believe what you want but don't make your decision based on what you think a mythical being is telling you. I am for stem cell research completely. Now even a fetus doesn't have to be damage to get what they need. I think the majority of the people against stem cell don't have anyone close to them that it could help. Ok, I think I touched on everything that has been talked about while I was at work.

I didn't even read that because it started of with such a close minded tone. As new medical procedure and treatments come out the risks are always greater at first.

"Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward...." - Thomas Edison

My vote is for Rudy, I was in NY area during the 911 attack and Rudy did a great job. If you think we are out of danger with the terrorists you are wrong. Rudy will tell you the same thing and I am sure he will do what ever is necessary to stamp out these rodents. I am not sure you can say the same for Clinton or Obama.

How can you say in one post that God is a mytical being, yet refuse to read an article claiming it is close minded in the next? That's what puzzles me. You seem pretty close minded about religion yet you don't tolerate close mindedness from others. I'm not attacking, just pointing out what I see. Read the article and see if you agree with the facts, that's all. Your ability to discern truth is about you, not the author. Who knows, the author may have something to say that you find interesting.

Ok, I read the whole thing. The only difference now is I noticed it wasn't really as bias as an article as I thought it would be.With all the crap Rado posts along with his other thread about stem cell I read the beginning like most articles thinking the thesis is in the beginning. I let my emotions take me over simply because it was posted by him, anyone else I would have probably given it a chance. As for religion, I have tried to learn about all different beliefs. I may feel it all is a little wacky and can't quite understand how someone can believe something so blindly; but I don't tell them their way of life is wrong. I would say I am closed minded to Christianity because I know what they have to say and I don't need to here anymore. I am very open minded to learn about other religions more in sense to learn about the culture.

He will notice more China's human rights records?
