Alright so I went and got a hard copy. Here's what it says

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL 683 reference range 270-1730 ng/dl
Any thoughts?????

that weird just like everyone else my paper work was 250-800 for test ranges. i wouldnt worrie about the 1730 and be happy your test level is at 683. althought its gonna be all weird now that she injected you with test. how many mgs of test and what kind?

I don't know man, I asked her what she was injecting and all she said was testosterone. I should've know better and gotten more specific. I'll know better in the future.

After reading the replies, it's made me feel a hell of alot better about the 683. That's why I love this board, I trust yall's opinion more than my own damn doctor. I think it's time I started searching for a new doc though.

well it scares me to think that your doc thinks that 683ng/dl is low. really bro, she has no clue. she actually gave you a shot of test when in fact your test levels are just fine. very scary.

Well, the doc was a big one, if you like that kinda women, and the nurse that actually did the sticking, looked like she'd been snagging some of the meds for her self. So IMO No and hell No.

So I decided to go back and have a second hormone test done by the same doc, since I found out I can't change my provider until next year. Here's the results:

Total T: 797 range: 270 - 1730
Total Free: 17.1 range: 4.7 - 24.4
SHBG: 41.7 range: 13.00 - 71.00

Thankfully, No offer of test from the doc this time,

Based on what I've read on here (realistically normal ranges of 250 - 800) I'm happy with my Total T levels, but I was reading somewhere on here that you want your total and free to be in the upper 2/3 range or (high normal) for optimal growth. If that's true, is there any natural way via diet.. or anything else to raise the free test number? Or, if I understand this right, lower my shbg number so that more test is freed up?

Hey thanks guys, Yeah I read through most of the blood work threads that I could find on this board and saw alot of posts from you Rado, which definitely helped clear some things up. I also did alot of searching on google and found mixed answers. I'm still new to the whole blood work thing so I'm probably over thinking the results and should just let things be.

I get mine every 6 months and my range is in the 450-550...If your doc keeps telling you otherwise, find a new one.

Yeah I've already got a new doc, just can't use her until 2008. That's when my company switches insurance providers.

Me neither, it's fucking weird. I don't know if it has to do with maybe age or the Lab they're going through. I told her that too. I said I don't think there's anyway a person could naturally have levels that high, and that if I did I wouldn't even be fitting through the door. She just laughed and said I was probably right? WTF! Either way I'm still kinda pissed that she had me freaking out thinking 683 was borderline low, but atleast I'll know better next time. So thanks again
