    True. In terms of basic browsing the typical speeds are very comparable. The big difference is when you actually use it or for something demanding such as downloads and online gaming. They offer and are capable of much higher speeds, with consistent ping times and lower latency.

    Hell a large percentage of customers down here are seniors and they have 20 and 50Mbps packages. They have no idea what the difference is between either one, but the soulless sales people convince them it's necessary.

            i think comcast charges me $39.00 for 5000/1000 or something like that. it is usually faster though.

                        Over here if your on cable and exceed your usage you get slowed to dial up and then charged 15cents a meg, well with my provider at least.

                          Comcast is unlimited. I think it couldn't read my upload because of the way my roomie has the router configured. He whores out our entire connection 'sharing' shit, so each computer is limited to a certain upload or something like that. I don't know, I got lost when he was explaining it to me.
