I just got off the phone with my server and ordered a new modem and upgarded my speed too. We'll see how much faster it'll get in a few days.
P.S: I must be a dumb ass like Rado I can't get the picture to show. I am sure Bouncer will fix it for me. :D

NY/NJ has the best offers and availability as far as FiOS goes. They just announced their symmetrical data service. 20meg down and 20meg up for $69/mo w/1gb of free online storage/back up.. That's awesome!
Comcast is looking at all kinds of bad publicity right now because they got caught bandwidth shaping.

ya, comcast is getting hit hard on every angle. they just added a bunch of hd channels here because directv is owning them in hd.
we dont get fios in our area yet. actually most of north jersey dosent have it. verizon did south jersey first for some reason. dosent make sense because the population where i live is far greater then in south jersey. you would think in terms of buisness they would choose our area first.

direct tv is owning everyone in terms of hd channels, but they have a lot of nonsense channels. im not sure how verizon engineering justifies their network build outs (your case in point). they do the same thing down here. over load the 'ghetto' areas and avoid the nicer neighborhoods. then they wonder why they dont have a better recurring revenue.

it has to be a lot cheaper for them to build up the network in those areas then. that is the only think that makes sense from a buisness standpoint.

no not really. it takes the same resources and man power to put the fiber drops and terminals in a 'bad area' as it does in a 'good' area. actually, the nice areas usually have more lawn and less concrete which makes it easier for the contractors to lay the fiber. they look at the network architecture from a geographic stand point more than a demographic stand point, I believe.

Usually people with less money/lower class, are more willing to spend money on things (channels) they don't "need" - they're the ones buying NFL packages/fights/PPV, etc.
