Yes, it works very well. I run it all night. Make sure you clean it once a week. Since a warm mist humidifier works by evaporating the water, any salts or residues in the water will accumulate in the heating area but it is easy to clean and maintain as long as you do it regularly.

My electric bill is cheaper here than it was in FL, and the house is literally 3x bigger. My gas bill is low as well, but of course it hasn't hit winter yet. I turned my heat on yesterday, but only because I have little ones.

I know it's probably cheesy to most of you, but being from a state that has ONE season - HOT, I have never seen such brilliant colors in nature. I could drive around looking at trees all day I think.

33 on my deck this morning in the PNW and it dipped below freezing around my workplace as the lawns all along my 20 minute walk from the train station to my office were covered with frost. I love winter!!!

Well, I always feel great about winter in November, but as anyone who has been through a Pacific Northwest winter knows, I am not so excited in February when it has been raining for 2 months straight.

It's the rain that gets to me though, not the cold. I love the cold - I remember 8 am classes at Illinois in subzero weather and it has never bothered me.

i love the pacific northwest. a lot different then jersey. me and sana went to Seattle for a little Valentines day vacation type thing. ate in the space needle. went up into the mountains in the snow ect. you guys don't know how beautiful a place that is until you live in nj for awhile. the air is so clean ect. i loved it there.

Yep B, I totally agree. I moved here almost 20 years ago and there aren't too many other places I'd rather live in.
