Well, that's not entirely incorrect, nor is it entirely correct. RAM is going to help your computer multitask without bogging down, but it won't increase the computer's processing speed. You need a faster CPU for that. If you're only wanting to use the computer for the internet, RAM doesn't really help you. If you're using it for work and running a dozen different programs at once, RAM will help. But yeah, if your operating system needs more RAM to operate efficiently, than by all means, get more RAM. But upgrading from 1GB to 2GB is only going to help you if you have many programs running at the same time.

Ram will always help your computer. I dont care if the only thing you do is go to google on the internet. If you run Vista and you have 512mb of ram, it will take a lot longer time to even load your browser up compared to a computer running 1 or 2 gigs of memory.

As far as cheaper, yes. But this appears to be a pretty good computer.

Just throwing them ALL out there, brat.

If you wanna check out some deals for black friday hit up blackfriday dot info... also if you want to go dell, pm me and i can get you coupons =)

ps vista sucks ass, you should downgrade back to xp when you get it

pps keep in mind that for the black friday deals you arent gonna be able to waltz in there at opening to get these deals, youll probably have to camp out over night in front of the store... stores only have a certain number of each product and at about midnight the night before there are usually already like 50-60 people outside waiting...

              .
i understand that people don't want change and many places are still selling comps with xp. but as with anything, you have to move forward. XP is not the future. vista may have some issues but it is what it is. i mean hell, windows 98 was the most stable of them all, how about i load my computer up with that OS? :P

i can understand why. it is pretty much XP with a pretty face, with a few multimedia features. i get that. but that still dosent mean i want to have XP which came out in 2002 i think on a brand new computer. just like with XP, vista will be improved.

at vistas current state, it is easier and more feasible to run xp... A LOT of programs are not compatible with vista, it is unstable at times and it needs more memory to run it so ultimately you spend more money, i thought the point was to save money? also when you downgrade you still retain your key for vista so when the time comes that it is more stable you can migrate back :moon:

I am a huge fan of microsoft, by all means, I am a windows user, xbox 360 etc but vista was premature i believe... it seems they released it prematurely to compete with macs tiger and leopard... eventually yes it will be the way to go, but they have many kinks to iron out and seeing that it took a few years to iron out xp (SP2) we are looking at probably another 2-3 years before it is fully optimized.. i mean no matter what, your gonna do what you wanna do anyway but im just trying to help a brotha out because xp is way more stable and efficient at what you will be using it for

bouncer: when you buy a pc with vista, you can request an xp disc from microsoft (im sure you can download the files but may take a while)

i agree, it was definitely premature. vista does nothing that XP cannot. i was just talking about the future ect.
