So, you all know what happened. Today I get a fucking email from 'Judicial Affairs' telling me I have to fucking meet with them. WHAT, THE FUCK! This is bullshit, it has nothing to do with the fucking school. And apparently this appointment is costing me twenty dollars that is fucking bullshit. Whatever.

Having sat on Discipline Committees before I can give you some advice
First off: Does your University have a Non-academic Discipline policy? Many don't, and if so you might be in luck. If they do, were you on campus at the time? If not, you'll probably fall into a 'conduct unbecoming of a university member' category, which means they can do almost whatever they want to you.
I would say look up their discipline policy ASAP. It should be online, and linked wither through the President's office or the registrar.
Be contrite, and look abashed. Don't be a dick. Play up the whole "biggest mistake ever". If suspension or expulsion is on the line, really push them on whether a momentary lapse in judegement on a technicality is worth robbing you of your future.
Secondly, no matter what happens, there is always an appeals process.
Good luck bro.

Thanks for the advice. I would never be harsh towards them. I read up and they say probation might happen and they might put it on y record, which is complete fucking crap. This is no business of the school. It didn't happen on campus and its none of their fucking business. Of course you can't tell these assholes that because they're so high on themselves. Like they never made a mistake in their life. Why is it that every organization feels like they should be able to control our fucking lives. fucking assholes.Originally posted by mindstarHaving sat on Discipline Committees before I can give you some advice

Yes, but its different in the sense that...I didn't kill anyone. Maybe if they thought this out they would realize how stupid the alcohol laws are and how they are basically unconstitutional because its not states that choose the age. The federal government bribes them. Thats way worse than what I did. All and all this just pisses me off because it should be a none issue.Originally posted by FitnessBratBecause they don't want people (getting in trouble) and bringing bad/negative publicity to their school. It's not high school where they don't have as much say. If they don't want you there - they have that right.

If you killed someone, you wouldn't be their problem at all. Just because it didn't happen on campus, doesn't mean it doesn't cause them concern. You may be in trouble for one reason, and then get in trouble again for something else, and it just escalates. I'm sure you don't have to worry, you'll probably be fine. But I'm just saying their IS reason for them to show concern.

I don't know. Stupid laws just piss me off and all the hoops you have to jump through because of them piss me off more.Originally posted by FitnessBratIf you killed someone, you wouldn't be their problem at all. This is exactly what every stupid, irresponsible little prick says when they get caught doing something stupid. What you do, on or off campus, reflects on that school and whether you agree or not, IT IS THEIR BUSINESS! Attending that school is a priviledge that they extend to you provided you stick to the rules and they have every right to terminate that priviledge. You submit yourself to their rules. That's the way it works.Originally posted by NewbieChrisThanks for the advice. I would never be harsh towards them. Control your life? Let me get this straight. You want to get into the MARINES and you don't like someone controlling our life!!!! Wow, you've got quite the wake up call coming. You better learn to accept someone else's control over your life if you want to make it in the military. Makes me think you want to join the Marines so you'll have bragging rights. BTW, Making rules to keep you from doing something stupid that could get someone else either killed or seriously injured is not controlling your life. There are consequences to decisions like the one you made. You need to grow up and accept whatever happens with a little maturity. Get over yourself, newbie.
You provided alchohol to a minor, dude! What if something had happened to them because of that? Could you live with that decision? Or are you only concerned with how that decision affected you and your life? You put that minor in a very bad position. Seems to me you're the one who's high on themselves for thinking you're above the rules and for thinking that they don't have the right to discipline you for your monumentally stupid decision. Sorry to come down hard on you, but some people have to learn the hard way.Last edited by babyblues; 11-30-07, 12:06 PM.

Do you have to post something stupid in every thread? Get outta here, rado. You've started plenty of useless threads that you can post your crap in. You're really starting to get annoying with stuff like this. Goodness...Originally posted by radoBitch on the rag/\
