my dad has an old charcoal smoker that he's had for years. he challenged me to a 'cook off' - my new gas powered one against his dinosaur charcoal smoker. he's having a bunch of apple wood flown in for his brisket - i'm just gonna go cut some mesquite branches off of a tree in the back yard and STILL beat him! LOL

no problem, man - PM me a mailing address and i'll overnight some to you. it's gonna be at least a week or two so my dad can get his 'special' ingredients! LOL

i also need a week or so to acclimate to the new smoker....

i plan on doing some rosewood salmon, some baby back ribs and maybe one brisket before i show the old man how it's done.

I didn't get much besides money (which is always good), but after seeing my in-laws and my folks, my daughter's gifts took up my entire truck bed:) She's a happy little girl!!!!!

PS-She's got 4 teeth now. 2 came in while we were in Mexico...
