So my mom got me a sports psychology book for christmas. She didn't know that I already had that particular book so I am taking it back, and was wondering what is a good weightlifting, BBing, nutrition, etc. book to buy. I have looked at Ronnie's book before but I didnt know how many other good one's there were. Any suggestions???

I thought that the Ultimate Diet 2.0 by Lyle McDonald is an excellent read. I just purchased it about a month ago and the information there is phenomenal - just getting ready to implement some of the things that he recommends. My only quibble is that the book is a slim 60 pages or so, more like a pamphlet, and at $24, it is probably page-for-page one of the most expensive books I have ever purchased.

Lyle McDonald is good but most of his stuff is free online. I really don't think any book has more to offer then the common info and basics that work. Totally agree on this one. I have the older 1987 edition, not the new 1999 edition. I don't know what is new in the 1999 edition but the older edition is awesome - lots of pictures of the legends like Columbu, Zane and other contemporaries of Arnold as well as lots and lots of pictures of the man himself.

I don't know. The new one is thick as hell. Can't say I looked actively for steroid info in it, but when I began it was great for exercise explanations/nutrition.
