Thats what I thought, in terms of OS X. I think it is a huge mistake by Mac.

As far as the lemon, I've had 3 Mac laptops and all of them have had issues from the get go. My first Powerbook had a bad screen, and they didn't want to exchange it. They wanted to take it for 1-2 weeks and 'look at it'. The screen died two more times. Finally I got sick and tired of it and it was out of warranty. Don't ask me why, but I bought another Mac laptop. This time the hard drive was D.O.A. Just recently my current MacBook stopped recognizing some keys on the keyboard. I've said it before, but this time I mean it. NEVER AGAIN.

Its funny you compared Mac to Banana Republic. I feel like they're trendy and shitty...kinda like Abercrombies clothing.

On a side note, I don't have a single complaint about my PowerMac.

Yes, they do...now. Alienware isn't the best company IMO. Again, they are over-priced for what they are. I built my computer for a lot less than it would cost to get from Alienware. They totally rip you off, IMO. I've had better experiences with HP than Alienware.

after reading my posts i realized, damn...i sould like one of those apple appoliogists i make fun of all the time. lol

i've had PLENTY of PC hardware failures over the years with the exception of one. a compaq of all things!? i used that notebook for close to 4 years and never had so much as a hiccup out of it (aside from typical windows problems).

considering that i've had the macbook all of about a month, i suppose my stellar assesment is a little premature. :P i'll give it some time and hopefully my luck is better than yours!

I can get myself a laptop, possibly one for my daughter.. because that air book, she will tear to shreds... and I could probably also get 1 BBer suit and use the rest for tanning, nails, massages, etc. lol... but if you are in the giving spirit... by all means :P
