the PC vs Mac debate has been going on for years - the bottom line is it's about personal preference. i work with technology for a living and i use a mac. but i used PC's for years...macs are a little more expensive, but well worth it in my opinion...

but as i said, it's your call...it is your money after all...spend it where and how you want.

Personal pref...I've worked with Mac Book(my brother in law has one; he's a student at Miami Univ in Oxford OH) and the G5(my wifes parents have one)...They're great machines for web, media, Adobe, etc...To me a PC is more practical for what I NEED...I wish PC's could have the Mac look though...

the new macs can run windows...so you can still have what you NEED, but with the cool mac look. but i guess you knew that already...

Yea, but the hardware is over priced and has the same, or in my case, less reliability than the cheap shit. Now, if I could run OS X on my desktop I would never not use OS X. Can I buy Leopard and do that?

the hardware is expensive, yes...but it's not crappy off-brand parts. if you compare PC's that use equivalent quality hardware (such as alienware), they're priced about the same.

it's like the difference between old navy and banana republic...sure, old navy will cover your naked arse - but the quality isn't the same.
