this just happened to be the issue which sent me over the edge for a second.
you can see my point though right? when someone sounds mad they tend to come across a little but nutty and it pushes people away.

      i agree 100%

i am very passionate about the state of the country and feel that things need to change or we are headed for disaster. all one need do is take a quick look through a history book to realize that the pattern of demise has been virtually identical for all great nations/states. the romans, france, spain, greece....they've all had their day in the sun, and america just may join the "had" list if we don't turn it around soon.

Ironically I'm going to say something Italian. Que Sera, Sera.

Large dominant cultures become complacent because of their nature. Everything starts getting handed to you and you forget the struggles you have had in the past. Thats not to say that we aren't headed for a difficult time, that may reunite this country. With Chinas productivity increasing exponentially the wealth we have had for decades in this country is going to decrease. China now has comparative advantage in so many sectors over the US. The economic pie is shifting and I believe it will hit America the hardest. That is what we should all be concerned about.

I've written to my congressman, the President, and the majoirty and minorty leader. Doesn't change a thing. Picketing doesn't change anything because theres only one of me and you can't find a million people to march against the degrading economy or state because its still so good here. All and all I'm very worried as a young person preparing for life. Its not a very reasssuring time. The 90's were great because of the internet. The 80's were great because the 70's sucked so bad...What do we have in the 00's? Nothing yet.

the degree to which history repeats itself is crazy! you would think that lessons would be learned from it...but they aren't. we (america) have reached our period of decadence...we are now watching our infrastructure and wealth crumble. where is this big 'economic stimulus package' coming from? china! what will we buy with it? probably a bunch of imported goods - this helps our economy? or theirs? we are broke. china is gaining enormous wealth. and the cycle continues...

anyway...this discussion could go on forever.

but i think it's bout time people get pissed off. anger is a gift. when people get mad, they get determined and things get done. it's time to reverse this process.

the 90's economy was big for for a few reasons, much more then just the internet.

the internet is still a big pusher in the 00's. its not the internet boom you are talking about but it is becoming refined and many companies that were little babies in the 90's are now billion dollar cash machines.
