During school I work part time at a gym. Some days I open and work desk, other I close at night. The job fits into my schedule fine, but I'm about to kick some members in the nuts for being such assholes. People here have stated it numerous times as a gym pet peeve, but when people don't re-rack their weights it really gets on my fucking nerves. If you are going to load something up with 8 45 lb plates...do an exercise and then be too lazy to put them back where you fucking got them..don't fucking do it. I mean honestly, if my fat ass can put them back, you should be able to.
To take things a step further, I've asked two or three guys to re-rack their weights and they said yes, and literally walked away. To say the least that really pushes my buttons. The worst part is I don't feel like I can do anyhting about it, because I can't. All I can do is ask them, then tell our Manager. He says something and people still do it. Thats because the owner will back our customers more than anything because he's afraid the gym will gain a bad reputation.
The same thing goes for the desk. Working the desk, there are people who, on a regular basis, forget their membership cards. This on kid even tried to take on or something. That at least what my boss told me.
At the end of the day, the annoyance, time spent working, and stress(Self created) from the job is just not worth the minimum wage benefit and free gym access.
