  • Test drive today...

Test drove a couple of Mazdas today. First tried the regular Mazda 3. Didn't drive bad for an economical car. Better than say, a Civic. Then I test drove the Mazdaspeed 3. What a fuckin rocket. Considering its price range, I can't think of a better performing car for the money. Definately considering buying this baby. Good stuff! :D

I was wondering why you werent looking at the speed 3. Its a great car.

The only reason I got a Civic SI over the speed 3 was the pedal placement on the speed 3 was too close for me.

    What color?

Haven't chosen a color yet. The black is gorgeous and would look nasty with a good tint but I've heard horror stories about trying to keep a black car clean.

Hey dna... do you have any idea if you can adjust the boost on a car with a stock turbo?? The MS3 doesn't come from the factory with a boost guage...

Most cars don't come with boost gauges.

Your going to need a boost controller to manually configure how much boost you want. If you configure it too high, your gonna blow your motor. Also, i believe you will void your warrenty with a boost controller. Boost gauge is to see how much boost your running. My friend with the MS3 only has a boost gauge, BOV, intake, and exhaust. Anything else will void his warrenty.
Your also gonna need to becareful with what type of BOV you have. If its too big, you will kill the turbo. If its too small your going cause a lot of pressure on the internals of your car and than blow somethin inside, like your pistons or cams.

The MS3 has the same turbo as the WRX Impreza and the Mazaspeed Protege.

Its a great car as it is so I don't need to add much. I'm going to work with the Mazda tech guys to see how fast I can make the car without voiding the warranty.

Hmmm. I wonder if the tech guys can adjust the boost with a PCM flash without voiding the warranty.... 300 hp to the wheels and a warranty would be a great friggin combo.

Get the red with 20 percent smokey tint and black OZ rims.

                  HOTNESS!!

Thats what I was going to do till I got the Civic SI

99% I'm getting the MS3. Just have to get the damn body work finished up from where the tree limb fell on the car. The lady who offered me cash is still in the mix but she is being sketchy now. I'm going to sell this car to her if it kills me. She is 40 years old, and her dad is giving her the money to buy whatever car she wants for a decent price. And she LOVES the RX8 according to her. So I will use every once of salesman talent I have to convince her.

As far as the color. I do like the red, and it is my 2nd pick but I also think the sunlight silver with a 20% tint would look pretty nasty. I'm jacked to get this car. All I have to do as add a Cold Air Intake and Catback exhaust and I'm driving a G35 and 350Z killer.

I had a thought just today. If they were to put the MS3's 4 banger and turbo into the Miata you would have a nasty fuckin track car. If I make enough money one day I'll definately be down for that...

Sweet man. 40yr old woman gettin money from her dady?????? WTF??? doesn't she have a job????

anyway, MS3 is a good choice. just do intake, headers, and intake for now. You will diff be eating up Z's, some G35's, TL's, WRX's, etc....

I talked to my friend and he said any type of boost controller will void your warrenty because he tried getting one, but couldn't find a boost controller that wouldn't void the warrenty.

I wouldnt doubt it, but I'm going to try and sucker her in.

If no sell I am lowering the price I want that little hatch. 280 ft/lbs of torque is a new experience after driving an rx8 for 3 years.
