Same thing really. She got it in her name, but I made all the decisions. Both of our family is in PA. My mother and father are both in bad health so I will be traveling there more often and I hate flying anymore.Originally posted by Shibby View PostSo was the car for you or her or is that the same thing?

I ended up buying a 99 Mercedes E320 w/80k miles, fully loaded, 1 owner, every receipt of service and absolute immaculate condition for $8k cash. She wanted something sporty but I wanted something comfortable and reliable to drive to pennsylvania (or wherever). The guy that had it was in his 60's and decided to give BMW a shot. I got all bases covered now: truck for beating around and taking the dog with me, bike for speed jones, and now my old mans luxury cruiser. :)
nice car congrats

My Mom had a '97 E320 that ran for EVER. It had 220k on it when finally it just couldn't handle it anymore. Turned on the A/C on day and the car sputtered out. I have nothing but good things to say about that car. I really do love it. Now she has the ghey new E-Class that is ugly and boring on the inside.Originally posted by blm View PostI never had my mind set on it from the get go so I wasn't talked out of buying it. Congrats, Benz's are real nice. You shouldn't have problems with it for a while...lol at your Audi test drive. I heard the A4 AWD is better because you will move off the line, but on the bad side the AWD system is extremly heavy and it has trouble gaining speed at 115-120mph.
