    I agree with his letter entirely. He is the guy that called Kimbo out during the post fight.

      There should be a rematch;

      Bas Rutten puts ALL the rumors to rest!!!
      If you read one Bas Rutten interview this year, this has got to be it. MMAyou.com sat down with legendary fighter and trainer Bas “El Guapo” Rutten. Rutten puts to bed all the rumors regarding his student Kimbo as discusses the fight with Thompson, the allegations that the fight was fixed, Kimbo’s ground game, Kimbo’s supposed tap, and the rumors that UFC fighter Forrest Griffin knocked out Kimbo in a sparring session.

      MMAyou.com: Yo Bas!

      Rutten: What's up dog?

      MMAyou.com: You ready to start?

      Rutten: Yes I am!

      MMAyou.com: First, give us your thoughts on the fight.

      Rutten: Of course I wanted … After every fight that he (Kimbo) had in the past I always said, "I wanted Kimbo to be tested". But of course I wanted him to be tested in such a way that he would still pull off a victory but I wanted him to go deep. Well, apparently my questions got answered. They said "okay, here you go" and man did he have to dig deep because he had the pressure on. He knows now also what it is to get really really tired. But if you ask me, of course I wanted him to finish the fight quicker and more technical but later on after the fight I thought about it and said "Yo wait a minute. This guy had three fights. This was his fourth fight".

      For him after round number two he was really really tired. He was sitting there and to come out in round number three and to suck it up and to still go and to go for those heavy shots that he gave and the referee stopped the fight, I was really really happy with that.

      MMAyou.com: What do you have to say to the people that say the fight should have been stopped after the second round?

      Rutten: They are right. The referee didn't stop the fight. Officially if you don't improve your position they stop the fight so they are right with that.

      For the rest of the interview go to;

      Bas Rutten puts ALL the rumors to rest!!!

        Yep. But the ref would have lost his job if he stopped the fight in the 2nd round. Gotta keep milkin Kimbo for all he's worth.

              I agree with that interview 100%. Thompson may have been about to go down, and he might have shot Kimbo's legs, we'll never know. But it was definately a premature stoppage considering that bullshit in the 2nd round. Even Bas Rutten admitted that by the rules it should have been stopped in that other interview.

                I think Kimbo is capable of good things (not to the level of someone like a Couture, but entertaining none the less) and I like the fact that he doesn't come in with his street thug mentality like he can kick anyones ass. I just think the whole thing has been approached in an unprofessional and corrupt manner.

                  I agree completely, I also heard that Rampage Jackson is trying out for the role of BA Barrackas in the A-Team movie. Personally I think Kimbo would suit the role:rofl:
