I have always had good luck with Asus for motherboards.

ATI news cards will be coming out soon.

While I have never purchased anything from newegg I always used a wholesaler I have a few friends that but from there all the time and they never have any trouble with DOA or returns. In all the years I have been building PCs (first on was a way fast 486DX) I have been fortunate to have only 2 "real" DOA CPUs and a could of ram sticks. I say go for it it will broaden your horizons and give you a skill not everyone has. It may piss you off but that's good for you too. Learn how big an ass Microsoft really is is isn't when you finally get all those drivers working and Windows does an auto update. I think you should it. the hardware looks good to me.

I remember those days, I would always have to go and search all over to get my drivers.

thanks for the support man. Ya i am really excited to get the parts and start building it. My parents believe i need another hobby besides working on cars and bodybuilding. I was like why not build computers. So my buddy will guide me through the process of building this computer.

I get what Bouncer is saying and I will try and explain it in a lighter tone. :) This doesn't impress anyone unless you are a child. It makes you look pathetic. This mentality is also what keeps you from getting with girls even when they like you. :)

The problem isn't with your parents buying you stuff it's with you talking about it like it makes you superior. I'm sure you are thinking "I didn't mean it that way", but that's how it reads. You can say you don't know shit about computers because you have always having pre-assembled ones. You see how it sounds when you put it in more simple terms instead of using a description influenced by Rado.

DO your parents believe that they may have to much input in your life?

Good luck with the computer build!
